We had a great day of caving with Lawrence of Cave Climb. He was very experienced and good humoured and made the day both exciting and a lot of fun. We were a group of eight adventurous 60 year olds who had all been on an Operation Raleigh expedition 35 years ago!

The 4th Streatham Sea Scouts & Mercury Explorer Unit have been caving with CaveClimb for a number of years now. Every visit is pure joy - the instructors (Andy, Lawrence & Bean) are absolutely first class.
Coupled with their skill in instructing is a deep love and passion for passing on the wonders of caving in their part of the world. This has been imparted on several groups of our Scouts, who look forward to returning to Cheddar every year.
I could not recommend them highly enough.

As a group of 20 young people and leaders, we had a brilliant day caving! Split into smaller groups based on eagerness/apprehension/expectation, we explored Goatchurch in the morning and Swildon's Hole in the afternoon with Andy, Lawrence and Bean who provided us with a fun, engaging and professionally led day out! This was first time caving for most, and judging by the conversation that followed they loved it!
Organising this with Rachel and Andy was a breeze, all in all a great experience and we'll certainly be back (again!) - thank you! :-)

My family (2 adults, 2 kids - 7 and 9) had a fantastic day climbing in the morning with Andy and then caving in the afternoon with Lawrence. In hindsight, 7 was a little young to get the most out of the activities, but the instructors selected age appropriate (yet challenging) routes and everyone enjoyed themselves. I can't overstate the professionalism of everyone involved. This day was a highlight of our trip.

My first time caving, with my boyfriend, climbed an underground waterfall, crawled through small caves and leant all about cave fossils from our fantastic guide! Highly recommended for everyone!! Can be made easier or more exciting.

We had a fantastic experience! Our guide Jake was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed exploring the caves. Jake looked after us really well and made the session very exciting whilst tailoring it to our abilities. Would highly recommend

A fantastic afternoon spent with Andy - such good knowledge of the local caves. Definitely took us out of our comfort zone but Andy took the time to explain exactly where we needed to go and how to get there. Highly recommended

This was my first ever trip underground. We met our instructor/guide Lawrence and my first words to him were that I was "absolutely terrified!" The idea of caving has always been my worst nightmare, yet at 52 I decided I needed to challenge myself and overcome those fears. My partner had previously been caving but many years ago. Lawrence was just amazing, his professionalism, experience and knowledge of geology and the environment were fascinating. Having gently eased me into the cavern, which is big and open to start, he pointed to the first challenge, I can't deny I was horrified but Lawrence explained exactly where to put my hands and feet and I put my trust in him and went for it, turns out it wasn't half as bad as I had feared. From therein we explored around, every time being given an option for routes and a chance to challenge ourselves if we wanted. I felt completely safe the whole time and loved every minute of it, even when it felt a bit scary (which was all in my head). For us it was great we could book just the two of us and made the experience feel so much more personal and enjoyable by not feeling pressured or trying to keep up with a larger group. Lawrence was just so cool and calm the whole time I felt reassured and achieved something I never thought I could. I'm still smiling today about it, thanks Lawrence we will be back!

Thanks for the enquiry. All our sessions need to be pre-booked. Sometimes we can accommodate customers at very short notice but not always. Tomorrow, Saturday, we are already fully booked but we have availability Sunday morning. You can join an existing half day session for £35. Hope this helps. Andy Sparrow.

It is certainly suitable for an adventurous 11 year old. He will enjoy the experience most if accompanied by one or more friends.
