We were a group of 6 lads aged 28-30 and did a day with CaveClimb (3 hrs climbing followed by 3 hours Caving). We cannot speak highly enough of Andy and Lawrence who were our guides for the day. The climbing was challenging, fun and Andy was quick to teach us how to belay one another up and down the cliff face and motivate us to reach the peaks when it sometimes seemed unlikely. Definitely a thrilling and pulsating experience. The caving led by Lawrence was likewise a challenge and rewarding experience. We had initially booked the dry caving tour, but Andy had advised us and Lawrence that as a group the wet caving tour would be far more to our liking, as it was more of a challenge and perhaps more of an interactive experience with the streams and waterfalls to navigate along with the tight spaces! Lawrence was very funny and kept us entertained with his dry humour. He always (where possible) gave us an option of an easier or harder route, we completed a route of approx 900m (0.5 of a mile) and by the end were exhausted but had loved every minute of the challenge. We would all highly recommend a day or session with CaveClimb, it was the highlight of our weekend in the Mendips.

What an amazing time! Originally booked to go back in January but due to lockdown we had to postpone. They were really quick to answer our emails which made rebooking easy and simple.
In the time between the January and the April I had actually fallen pregnant. I had given up that I would actually be able to do the caving until much later in the year. After contacting them they reassured me that I could actually still do it but I had to notify the instructor on the day.
On the day we were met by a really cheerful man called Lawrence. I told him about being pregnant and straight away he put my mind at rest saying that his wife was still caving at six months pregnant. We then got all suited up and off we set.
The caving experience was so much fun. Lawrence made us both feel very safe and comfortable throughout. He could judge both of our abilities and limits and never pushed us past it. Even being pregnant I still did everything I would have done physically and mentally than before. So I didn’t feel like I missed out which often happens when you are pregnant. He was so informative and had us laughing on a number of occasions.
I can’t thank you enough for such an amazing experience. We will be back to do more again soon!

I went on a 3hr morning caving session down Swintons hole with Caveclimb with my 3 teenage kids. What an outstanding experience and we all had a superb time. Lawrence was our guide - super experienced, calm, safe, great sense of humour, and took the time to describe both the history and geology of the cave. It was a proper caving experience too with all the benefits of seeing many stunning natural formations and a bit of decent scrambling up rocks and through tight spaces. I would recommend caveclimb without hesitation to anyone, but only swintons hole for the experienced or older and more adventurous (they do have other cave adventures).

Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time caving with Lawrence. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Lawrence's passion for caving is infectious. We highly recommend this trip. If you want it to be more extreme or relaxed Lawrence can choose the route for you. I would also recommend getting him to tell you the story of the Thai caving rescue when you turn off your head torches, it was really quite profound experience! Thanks again

We had a fantastic day caving with Rachel and the Caveclimb team in Cheddar first week of August 2021. Rachel was very professional, friendly as well as being extremely knowledgeable. She put everyone at ease particularly where we entered some narrow parts of the cave.
We would highly recommend it to anyone.....we are a family with 2 boys aged 10 and 12 years.
It was our first time caving and definitely one of the highlights of our holiday .. and excellent value too!

If you are looking for an exciting and memorable half-day or day adventure exploring caves in Somerset, then Caveclimb is perfect. I spent several hours exploring Swildon's Hole cave system near Cheddar/Wells with a caveclimb guide. Caveclimb provided all of the gear. Lots of fun scrambling along narrow stream passages, up a wire ladder etc. They can tailor the trip to some extent depending on fitness level, expectations etc. My guide, Bean was ideal - patient, encouraging, good mix of humor, background info etc.

We did a half day rock climbing then a half day wet caving. Hard to say which was best as they were both amazing. Wet caving was a more unique experience but the intructors for both were knowlegable and helpful and made sure we got the best from each activity. Booking was easy and we felt it was excellent value given the technical skills the intructors had. Many thanks.

We could not recommend these guys highly enough. We were brand new to caving and abseiling. Myself, my son and his friend both 14years old. We did the 1 day caving with Lawrence who was incredible, what he doesn't know about caving isn't worth knowing. He was clear and precise with his instruction and put us instantly at ease. We had the best day.
We also did the afternoon of abseiling, again instantly putting us all at ease. We must have completed 10 plus abseils and finished off with the boys doing a couple of tandem ones. Amazing fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CAVECLIMB.COM 👍👍👍👍

This was my first ever trip underground. We met our instructor/guide Lawrence and my first words to him were that I was "absolutely terrified!" The idea of caving has always been my worst nightmare, yet at 52 I decided I needed to challenge myself and overcome those fears. My partner had previously been caving but many years ago. Lawrence was just amazing, his professionalism, experience and knowledge of geology and the environment were fascinating. Having gently eased me into the cavern, which is big and open to start, he pointed to the first challenge, I can't deny I was horrified but Lawrence explained exactly where to put my hands and feet and I put my trust in him and went for it, turns out it wasn't half as bad as I had feared. From therein we explored around, every time being given an option for routes and a chance to challenge ourselves if we wanted. I felt completely safe the whole time and loved every minute of it, even when it felt a bit scary (which was all in my head). For us it was great we could book just the two of us and made the experience feel so much more personal and enjoyable by not feeling pressured or trying to keep up with a larger group. Lawrence was just so cool and calm the whole time I felt reassured and achieved something I never thought I could. I'm still smiling today about it, thanks Lawrence we will be back!

My wife and 2 young girls aged 9 and 11 went dry caving with Laurence. Laurence was really informative and did a great job encouraging our girls to really challenge themselves. All in all a great experience and one that we would have no hesitation in recommending.

Thanks for the enquiry. All our sessions need to be pre-booked. Sometimes we can accommodate customers at very short notice but not always. Tomorrow, Saturday, we are already fully booked but we have availability Sunday morning. You can join an existing half day session for £35. Hope this helps. Andy Sparrow.
