Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well the title really says it all, a lovely quirky shop with chocolates ice cream and gifts. I chose a double wafer cone with strawberry and clotted cream and honey and ginger ice cream delicious. The lady behind the counter was lovely as well.

Lovely little place!
Me & my partner had some service issues with paying by card as we had no cash and the lady working there told us not to worry about it & enjoy our ice creams.
We couldn’t not pay so as soon as we sorted it out we went back and paid and she was still telling us not to worry lol but we paid.
Lovely ice cream , all local stuff! Would definitely recommend & will be going there lots more in the future :)

Great selection of lots of different flavours for a delicious Marshfield’s ice-cream and very friendly service. Has some seats and tables inside. Amazing range of handmade chocolates too! Well worth a visit for an ice-cream or chocolate treat.

The chocolate house is a lovely little shop full of all sorts of things, mainly confectionery!! My family and I got an ice cream and they were delicious. The lady serving us was very kind and lovely. I would recommend to anyone visiting Dunster. Thank you! 😊

This is the place to go in Dunster for ice cream and fudge - the only difficulty is choosing which flavour to have.

We visit Dunster normally twice a year when we stay with my mother in law down here, the village itself is awesome and the castle is great to walk around with the kids. We always like to pop in to all the local shops and the smell of chocolate from this place lured my kids in from far away it was impressive!
We popped in with not really any intention of buying anything and ended up getting hooked on the variety of fudge flavours they had and the kids loved the ice cream too! Great after a long walk around the castle grounds!
They had tables & seats too to sit down and have tea/coffee and they had cakes etc by the looks of it. The lady who was working this day was lovely to us too, really nice.
I remember buying some fudge in Dunster a good few years ago and I always went back whenever I visited but the shop closed, this place has now become my new go to place for fudge when I come down now for sure.

A very warm welcome, we went in for a cup of tea for two, now, usually in most places there's only enough tea for a second cup so we we're pleasently surprised to receive a huge tea pot which enabled us to have three cups each. Just what I needed on a hot Summer's day.
The staff were very friendly and attentive making us feel very welcome, I could have fallen asleep on the leather sofa, soooo comfy. So if you're in Dunster, do visit as the range of ice cream flavours will have you deliberating for ages.:-)

Cant understand why there are negative remarks about the Chocolale House, we visited Dunster for a week and dropped in many times. Selection of ice cream was excellent as were the prices. Many places would charge a serious amount for less. And the owner even offered a small coronet for our Spaniel .
Couldnt do enough for her customers.
