The safari is a great way to see parts of Exmoor which are not usually seen when travelling there yourself. Daphne's knowledge of the area, animals and birds is extensive and she adapts the trip to ensure that as many animals and birds are seen as possible. We saw numerous red stags with their hinds yesterday which was amazing. Also a rare male hen harrier and golden plovers were among the highlights. Daphne is a great host and I would recommend this safari to anyone who loves the countryside.

I booked a half day tour as a birthday treat for my daughter. Booking process by email was perfectly routine. We were given Dunster Steep Carpark as pickup point at 9.00 AM on 25/09/2023 (i.e. yesterday). The agreed cost was £100.00 to be paid by BACS or in cash on the day.
We arrived at the car park at 8.50 and waited until 9.30. Ms. Brace never showed up and neither did she see fit to reply to my various voice messages left in the hope to find out whether she had any intention to honour the booking.
Luckily I had decided to pay cash so I didn't lose any money and in actual facts, Ms. Brace's appalling disregard for the arrangements made turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we went to visit the lovely Dunster village, castle and gardens instead and we had a fabulous day for fraction of the cost.
Terrible is the only adjective that I can use to describe Exmoor Wildlife Safaris. Good luck to anyone who decides to trust them.

From the moment we booked the tour Daphne was helpful, friendly and polite. We had the choice to pay by BACS or cash on the day.
Daphne collected us from The Exmoor White Horse Hotel at the time agreed.
We had an amazing morning covering Exmoor and surrounding areas. Daphne was knowledgeable and extremely friendly and welcoming. The Land rover was comfortable and roomy and the drive was enjoyable.
We were so amazed at the beauty of Exmoor and the colours of the landscape and we were so lucky to see the wild Exmoor ponies, a herd of Red Deer, beautiful sheep, bulls and some lovely birds we were also, extremely excited to see a beautiful Roe deer.
We also saw some very pretty young calves crossing the moor and were able to take some wonderful close up photos of these as well as the Exmoor ponies and deer.
As we were driving along the road through Exmoor we also saw a mare with her new born foal which was amazing to see.
Daphne had binoculars for us all to use which was very helpful to get a closer look at the wildlife further away from us.
We loved our trip, Daphne stopped several times to allow plenty of photography opportunities and also stopped to allow for a loo break at a quaint little orchard behind a pretty cafe.
When we return to Devon again we will certainly be returning for another trip and we will recommend this to friends and family

We had the most wonderful experience. Daphne is a very friendly person and has so much knowledge about plants, animals and life. After the tour we had a cuddle with lamb session with Dave, her partner who runs a big sheep farm. This may sound fluffy and woolly, but it was the best experience. We got to feed them, ride along with the quad, assembling the flock with the help of collies and saw Dave performing world class sheep shearing. Our kids and my wife were glowing for the next three days..ok I admit I was too :) Bob Karen Elke Loe & Mas, Rotterdam Netherlands

Thank you! Your review is so lovely. The whole day was such a pleasure for Dave and I as well. It was lovely to see the look of pleasure on everyone’s faces as they all got involved with the sheep and lambs. We are so pleased we were able to help you find some lambs to cuddle and feed 😁 Best wishes Daphne

Exmoor is one of my favourite places and getting to go on safari with Daphne increased my love and knowledge of the area. This was a birthday present to me and it didn't disappoint, we saw the deer (which we'd never spotted when out on our own) and the beautiful Exmoor ponies, a huge flock of starlings and I was incredibly pleased to see chaffinches as I haven't seen one in my own home town for years ( we need more beech trees apparently, they love beech nuts). Sitting in the front with Daphne was a joy -she knows the area and the characters so well. We didn't have our own binoculars but Daphne had some for us to use so we got a really good look at everything.
Daphne was happy to stop on demand if anyone was interested in anything in particular and it was just a lovely way to while away the morning.
Diolch Daphne/ Thank you Daphne

I booked the tour as a surprise for my partners birthday. We were lucky enough to have such good weather and found ourselves being the only ones on the summer evening safari, so a private tour it was! Our first experience of a tour of Exmoor National Park did not disappoint. Absolutely stunning views to remember and a great time spotting all the wildlife, including the beautiful red deers and 4 stags too! Our pictures just don’t do it justice! It was a pleasure to meet Daphne and Gracie, we had a truly brilliant evening of exploring, thank you both ☺️. A very reasonably priced experience we would recommend! Marnie & Scott.

An amazing experience which fulfilled all of our hopes and dreams from the sightings of the iconic Exmoor Ponies to a Meadow Pipit. .WONDERFUL Another memorable component of the safari came with the stunning scenery on and along the myriad of single track roads which cross- cross the moor,it’s wooded valleys, rivers and streams. UNFORGETTABLE. All of this culminated with a real “ off road “ driving experience - not for the feint hearted. THRILLING. Our 3 hour trip around the moor was much enhanced by the in-depth knowledge and experience of our genial and friendly tour guide. THANK YOU, Daphne.
We will certainly return for a second helping. Brian & Margaret. The Mendip Hills.

We had an absolutely amazing afternoon trip out for my partners birthday! We were completely blown away, the weather didn't stop us enjoying the beautiful scenery and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Daphne's knowledge is incredible and her passion for Exmoor is infectious. We found the Exmoor ponies, deer and some amazing majestic stags with the birds and squirrels coming out as the rain stopped, we couldn't quite believe how much there is to see on Exmoor! Thank you Daphne for such an amazing experience :) Allie and Adam
