Dunster Beach is a great place to walk a dog at any time of day. Along the sea front are a large number of holiday homes (small beach huts/chalets). At low tide if you have the inclination you can walk to Minehead - you need to be aware of the tides or you could find yourself cut off.

It's a nice long walk to Dunster beach from the village. If you like a pebbly beach this is ideal We prefer a sandy beach. But nice coloured sea and bracing walk

This is a private beach with a couple of hundred beach huts of which just over half are beach front. There's one shop that closes around 5pm, no pub/ club/ entertainment etc. on site. No BBQs allowed on the beach (huts are wooden, pretty small but usually well equipped). So it's an old fashioned holiday where you make your own... More

We have just booked to return to Dunster Beach yet again. It certainly gets under your skin. I can't recommend this site highly enough. We haven't been able to find anywhere else that has the same old world charm and fabulous beach side location. We book direct through the owners site and there is a good choice for everyone on... We walked from Minehead along the beach to Dunster and back. It was very windy but enjoyable with great views both out to sea across the channel and inland to Dunster Castle.

This would be lovely in the summer. We had a bracing walk in the freezing cold, and watched lots of happy dogs enjoying themselves.

We walked to the beach along the costal path 2 miles from blue anchor bay, it's a sandy delight with lovely views, dog friendly and there is a cafe for the coffee at the end of the walk
