I once walked down the close at night, above the rooftops were stars and the sound of Mozart being played on a piano in one of the houses drifted out of an open window onto the close. A deeply romantic, special place.

Pretty little street, like stepping back in time, just next to the cathedral. Nearly missed it.......

Owned by the church, these are to be seen, residents are helpful with history but seeing them is much better than any picture.

What a hidden gem of ancient medieval cottages and tall chimneys! Be sure not to miss this wonderful place. The sounds of musical instruments emanating from some of the houses was lovely too. A real photo opportunity.

Such a shame that there were cars parked in the street which took it a bit out of character. The chimney stacks and some of the architecture of the houses were interesting.
