Nice so long as you get the sofas!
Jun 2014 • Family
Went for a birthday party which was a tad chaotic, not big enough for that in my opinion.
Went another time for a coffee with a friend and it was much nicer though service was a tad slow and it was only us in there! If you get the sofas it is comfy and there are toys and books for little ones in the same corner but not so good if you get one of the tables as you can't sit with your children whilst they play.
Nice coffees and cakes though, polite staff and not badly priced. Not the warmest of places (temp wise, not staff!) and the water in the toilet was cold to wash your hands which was a shame...

Afternoon Tea Gift Vouchers
May 2014 • Friends
Having visited Lazy days myself in the past and been impressed with both the friendly welcome and the delicious cupcakes on offer I decided to purchase 2 gift cards for afternoon tea for 2 for my mum and my mother in law for Christmas. Both my mum and mother in law have since visited the boutique and been absolutely delighted with their experience.

My mum decided to use hers to cheer herself up on the anniversary of my Dad passing away to meet up with a close friend. This was oduring the Easter holidays and the boutique was booked up for parties, however when I called that morning as Mum had failed to book in advance they bent over backwards to accomodate her and made her exceptionally welcome when she arrived - I really can't thank them enough for giving her a couple of hours with a friend on such a sad day for her.

My mother and father in law visited on Friday 30th May which was my father in law's birthday. As my mother in law is diabetic they had booked in advance and were greated with a selection of delicious treats that she could eat and plenty of delicious sandwiches too. They have both been raving about the cakes ever since to everyone they know. I am sure they will return.

Bank Hol weekend
May 2014 • Friends
Visited this place over the Bank Holiday week end.
Bakery looked very untidy, dirty plates and crockery everywhere, dirty counter and floor.
It was more like a trucker’s café than a boutique.
I think we will stick to Packington Moore Farm Shop!

Awful birthday party
Apr 2014
Attended today for a birthday party. Not the greatest experience. Lady with the pink hair who I believe was the owner was not very welcoming. You wouldn't of thought it was a birthday party! The birthday child was not greeted or made to feel special. The children did enjoy decorating the cup cakes. But after they had done that they were left to their own devices there was no organisation and the children started to run around the shop and outside bored. The staff did not bat an eyelid at this and seemed to lack interest in the party ! I would suggest if you want a birthday party where the staff get involved and interact with this children this is not the place.

Hi There, thank you for taking the time to review Lazy Days, we are of course mortified to hear that your experience with us wasn't a great one! Having double checked you are absolutely right £12 is over priced because it should of come to £8.15. We have had several new members of staff recently who are all new with the till and our pricing and I can not apologise enough for the mistake. If you would like to pop in again we will of course offer you a full refund. We hope that you will give us a second chance as this kind of review is not something we are used to and I hope that we can impress you next time. Apologies again Whitney

Down to a Tea!
Nov 2013 • Couples
I absolutely love this place! I have been on several occasions and love to see all the beautiful cupcakes in the display case. The new premises is bright and fun, with a warm welcome from the owners every time I go. The cakes are so yummy too! I haven't had chance to sit down for a coffee since the move but at the old premises the tea came in lovely china cups which just made the whole experience even more fun! I would recommend for anyone who is a cake lover to go to Lazy days!

Beautiful & cute little place!
Jan 2014 • Family
Never knew this place existed till I came across them on Facebook, saw they did toddler cupcake decorating classes so thought I would take my daughter along.
When we walked in we were greeted with a friendly face and a gorgeous little setting.
Very girly and shabby chic vintage is the theme.. walls were pink, lots of bunting, a toddler play area in the corner, open plan kitchen where all the cakes are made and a long table at the back where the workshops and classes take place.
My little girl loved decorating the cakes and Whitney, the owner, was most accommodating.
At £3 for the class, 2 cakes and juice for my daughter I thought this was a bargain!
They also sell amazing cupcakes to eat in or takeaway and a variety of hot drinks - me and my friend took 2 cakes each away and I must say they were yummy!
We will definitely be visiting again and I would love to try the other workshops in the future both adult ones and others with my daughter - they also do childrens parties which are a great idea!

Very pretty cakes
Aug 2013 • Friends
I visited the Lazy Days Boutique on a visit to Heart of the Country and bought a box of six cakes, including toffee apple, chocolate orange, and a gluten free vanilla for my husband.
The cakes look incredible. They obviously put a lot of detail into decoration and for this you really can't fault them.
Unfortunately I found the cakes themselves a little lacking. The sponge was quite dry, and the frosting was very sickly sweet. I think there may be a little too much food colouring in. My husband said his gluten free one was quite bland.
Hopefully they will improve and put the flavour of the cakes over the appearance. The cafe itself is very pretty and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We are absolutely devastated to read your review. After two years we have not had a single negative comment about our cupcakes! with them being decorated simply because we have always put flavour first. We do use bright colours but because we use professional concentrated colours, to get the vibrant colours that we use you only need a tiny drop and we always source natural concentrated colours. We were particularly sad about the gluten Free part as we have again 100% perfect feedback. We believe the cakes may not have been as soft as they usually are because of the cold weather. We advise people never put cakes in the fridge because this dries out the sponge, the cold weather can work in a very similar way. We are relocating to a brand new Eco built unit in two weeks where we will have ovens and under floor heating to keep the Boutique ambient which will ensure this never happens again. If you would like to send us your address to lazydaycakes@hotmail.com we shall send you a voucher for Cupcakes and Tea for you and your guest to please give us a second chance. We apologise again we are as disappointed as you are.
