The estate is open, but, with the exception of the cafe, the buildings are closed currently due to COVID 19 restrictions. However, the grounds are beautiful, and there are many routes for walkers. The friendly NT staff ensured that my friend had a mobility scooter. We had not requested this; it was suggested to us. It proved a godsend as we were able to explore much further afield than we otherwise would have been able to do. Lovely autumnal wheelchair walk. Well organised cafe and really appreciated the gentleman working there who recognised my husband was struggling with a big cup off coffee and offered a solution without being asked for help. That was real customer service, thank you!

I understand that it ideal to take children to enjoy outdoors, but parents need to take more responsibility in these difficult times. Despite this, it was good to walk around the estate.…
