Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Apart from the website being down so not being able to book a table we had to just turn up due to not answering multiple phone calls either..

Apart from these hiccups the food and service was fantastic.. very quick and very friendly staff :)

Thank you

Great place with helpful staff and I would recommend it. Lots to see and parking was not an issue at all

Only open on certain dates. Well worth supporting.

The colliery chimney is visible from Mow Cop, and is there is an air of mystery of what its purpose was. The supporters are very friendly and helpful. I feel that this is an under recognised heritage site and worthy of wider recognition.

Came in a with a group of friends after work for a light meal and a couple of drinks to talk over. Was served by Kaisey who was very polite and knowledgeable on different foods/ drinks. The music and overall feel of the pub was amazing will be returning!

A wonderful look back in time with the buildings still standing albeit weather worn. This place needs bringing back to its former glory so that we can pass the history of our once great nation on to our children and our children's children

I received a warm welcome from a group of people who care deeply about the protection and restoration of this important mine.
I would encourage everyone, local or not, to pay a visit and take one of the guided tours. A fascinating visit, thank you to the Friends Of Chatterley Whitfield.

Hi CHFineArt - we really thank you for your kind review, glad you enjoyed it - & hopefully in future years we will be able to add to it if we can get the support from the local council.

A wonderful insight into the history of Chatterley Whitfield and the local mining industry, with enthusiastic tour guides. A wonderful place to capture photos of these sadly decaying buildings which are usually off-limits to the public. I would recommend this to anyone interested in local history.
