    Excellent facility
Visited primarily to eat in the Tearoom. The food was excellent and superbly presented on the top quality Wedgwood dinnerware. Have booked again! The facility generally is excellent. The Wedgwood shop has quality products (which can seriously damage your wealth). Ample car parking One observation was that there appeared to be numbers of staff around but in comparison to other facilities we have visited there was a lack of welcome.
Dear David, Thank you for your lovely review of your visit to the World of Wedgwood. We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your food in the Wedgwood Tearoom and look forward to welcoming you back very soon! Thank you for your feedback regarding the welcome. We're saddened to hear this and will ensure your comments are acted upon.

    Expensive motorway service
We went to Wedgwood because Gladstones was closed for the year. We had a completely different idea about the place. It was alright. We went on a Saturday. With some of the main events being closed, it felt like we were in a very very expensive motorway services with Christmas exhibits on sale. Make no mistake, the ceramic potteries were very beautiful but felt like it was for someone with billions to spend like the MPs from Boris Johnson's cabinet, who have amassed millions by siphoning off taxpayer's money during covid. A cup and saucer for more than £50. A mud potto drink any liquid was £22 !!
Dear vivax74, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your visit to the World of Wedgwood. We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit. We do have the V&A Wedgwood Collection on site which is free to visit and we'd definitely recommend visiting our Creative Studio where you can get creative by painting a pot or learn to throw a pot on the potters wheel. We also have Factory Tours available during the week which can be booked here on our website. The Wedgwood Tearoom offers a wonderful experience and the Courtyard Cafe is available for those wishing for food and drink on-the-go.

    Lots of room for improvement
If you are aiming for the quality market and charging those prices. you need to have service and food that will match it. The service was dour, a smile goes a long way! Had barely sat down before we were been asked to order, the place was nearly empty. The bagels were chewy and you needed a steak knife to cut through them. As for tea that was ordered, it was more like a brickies tea it was that strong. On the plus side, coffee was good and the salmon with cream cheese was good - if the bagel had been anywhere near this review would have been more positive Not somewhere we will be going back to soon.
Dear Tony, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your visit to the Wedgwood Tea Room. We're saddened to hear you were not satisfied with your experience and would like to assure you that your feedback has been taken on board. We sincerely hope to welcome you back to the World of Wedgwood in the new year, whether that is for a visit to our Creative Studios, the V&A Wedgwood Collection or the Wedgwood Tea Room.

    Tiny Scones
It is not as nice or good value as other places I’ve been to for an afternoon tea. The service from the staff wasn’t great. They didn’t seem very smily. The portions were tiny especially the scones. A cream teas main component are scones and they were the size of a golf ball. Pot bank at Spode in Stoke far out do this place. The toilets were a real trek to get to also. I wouldn’t recommend to my friends or family as I personally was disappointed.
Dear Steph, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following you're recent visit to the Wedgwood Tea Room. We are saddened to hear you found your experience with us to be disappointing and would like to assure you your feedback has been taken on board.

Ignored by staff and had to ask to be seated and served
The afternoon tea itself was amazing, the cakes and scones were fabulous. We all took doggy bags home with us which we’re packing up in a lovely Wedgwood box. The problem is the service. We arrived at 3.30, waited 10 minutes at the desk and no one came to use despite there being loads of staff walking around clearing tables. We walked up to the bar and we’re told someone would come soon, they weren’t trained to check us in. Once seated we were then ignored for another 15 minutes, I counted 6 staff jus walking around clearing tables and no one took our afternoon tea order. Again we went to the bar to be told by a friendly lady it was her first day and someone would be with us. By the time our afternoon tea had arrived, the place was nearly empty and they turned the music down. The ambience was rubbish as we’d been there for 45 mins before our food turned up and they were getting ready to close. We’d prebooked this table so they knew were coming. Pretty disappointed as it tarnished our visit, which was a shame for my step mum as it was her 75th birthday present. This has the potential of being brilliant but management need to put their staff on some customer service training and there needs to be someone in charge to make sure people aren’t forgotten about.
Dear Sally, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your visit to the Wedgwood Tea Room. We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your Afternoon Tea for your Step-Mum's 75th Birthday. Please know your comments in reference to the service on this day have been taken on board.

Great pottery session, average afternoon tea.
Had a lovely time at the potters wheel, the instructors were very patient and managed the group really well. We had an afternoon tea which we were very excited about but unfortunately not that impressed with. The food was ok and the servers were polite enough but the issue was that you barely saw them. We were sat down, the server spent a few minutes telling us all the unlimited teas. Took our order, afternoon tea for 3 and of course, tea. Afternoon tea arrived about 10 minutes later but we had to wait another 10 for the tea to arrive. We waited an average of 20 minutes each time we asked for a pot of tea, which wasn’t great when you’re wanting to drink tea alongside your food. It was very difficult getting anybody’s attention, nobody would so much as look over at all so we were having to try quite hard to get the attention of a server. When the tea did eventually arrive it was never hot, just warm. We were a group of 3, we aren’t the demanding type at all but it was frustrating when after the third time of waiting 20 minutes for a pot of tea to arrive we eventually got the attention of a server to ask where it was, we were told tea was being served to the whole restaurant and we had to wait our turn. Service needs to be faster, never been anywhere where we’ve had to wait that lengths of time every time and when you’re paying that much for it you’d expect service to be a bit better. We’ll come back again and give the benefit of the doubt as we have children and they serve a children’s afternoon tea, but if it’s the same a second time we won’t be returning for another.
Dear S4422MYnicolan, Thank you for your lovely review of your visit to the World of Wedgwood creative studios for one of our Clay Studio experiences. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your session and will pass your kind comments on to our team of Creative Studio Hosts. We are sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your Afternoon Tea experience. Please know your feedback has been passed on to our Food & Beverage Manager for review and continuous improvement. We hope to welcome you back very soon with your family for our Little Gardeners Afternoon Tea and perhaps a visit to our Decorating Studio.

    Good tour!
Good tour - got to see the factory in work and see potters and decorators working which was fascinating. The factory is very modern, so there isn't much history but there is the V&A Museum section for that history. Our guide, James, was knowledgeable and friendly. A great part (and probably the best) was when Jamie B, once of the potters stopped to chat with us about his work. Such a fascinating guy and his work is just amazing!!! He has some great stories and his work has been on the Great Pottery Throw Down and he produced a tea set for the late Queen!!!! The artisan shop was full of some great items from local artists and makers and the official shop is full of so many lovely pieces! If I could afford it, I would have bought some! Lots of tea sets and plate sets but wish there were more vases in the shop :)
Dear Amandeep, Thank you for your lovely review of your experience here at the World of Wedgwood! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your Factory Tour and we will ensure your comments are passed on to the team. We look forward to welcoming you back to the World of Wedgwood very soon, perhaps to try our luxury Afternoon Tea!

Good trip out for a couple of hours.
Free entry into the V&A Wedgwood museum collection, which was larger than expected with a whole array of pots, vases, plates & jugs on display, along with some sculptures. Nicely laid out and free to take photos in there. Also went on the factory tour which was a paid for experience. We booked in advance and then my mum was very ill so could not attend, and they wouldn't give a refund on the ticket. Factory tour was very informative and interesting, showing all stages of the pottery from moulding the shapes via machine, going through the kilns, and hand painting / gilding. Plenty of opportunities to ask questions on the tour and got to see a new vase being created. No photography allowed on the factory tour though. Shop seemed well stocked with plenty of nice touches like a huge 'bull in a china shop' made from plates, and a table set for dinner with glass chandelier over it.

    Beware
Eating, we visited the factory on 5/04/23, having travelled for 3 hours we found their we could not get anything to eat except a piece of cake, having looked at the website prior to leaving it showed 4 different eateries, only one was open and you had to pre book! We spoke to the manager who said it was on the website that you had to book, mit did not! It asked if you would like to book a table for afternoon tea or lunch, as we were unsure of what time we would want to eat we didn’t book, only to discover we could not buy anything! Not even a sandwich! My friend is diabetic and needed to eat, we were told buy a waitress that they were fully booked all day and sold out, or that we could drive to a local pub 5 minutes away, as we were booked onto a tour this was impossible, and by the manager that they were fully booked but could maybe make a sandwich in 2 hours time! I would strongly suggest your take a packed lunch if you do not want afternoon tea at extortionate prices! The tour was great although we had to cut short our visit in order to leave the site to get food.

    Mixed experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed a 1 hour potters wheel session. The young lady leading the class was wonderful, so informative, helpful, encouraging and patient. As a result we all threw a variety of pots and had fun too. Would highly recommend. Following our experience we had booked lunch in the Wedgwood Tea Room. Food was acceptable but nothing special. Fish goujons were on the soggy side but edible. The arancini was served with minimal tomato sauce and salad. A nice snack but not a meal. No one asked if everything was alright This was a mediocre experience which to be honest left us all a little disappointed. Service was lacking, the waitress was unable to answer questions with any certainty and didn't offer to find out the answers for us. After eating and requesting the bill we had no idea where to pay and wandered to the coffee bar where a lady took our payment with very no interest in if everything had been OK.

We visited the Wedgewood tea rooms today as a belated birthday gift as we had to cancel twice due to unforeseen circumstances. I can definitely say it was well worth the wait! The atmosphere and setting was nice and relaxed. The food was delicious with a good selection of finger sandwiches & rolls. The scones and cakes were devine all freshly prepared and presented beautifully. I also received a complimentary glass of prosecco and a mini cake with a candle and Happy Birthday message written in chocolate, which was a very nice touch. I would definitely return and recommend to friends. A lovely experience with wonderful food and well worth the wait. Thank you.

Very welcoming. Informative talk from Penny. Particularly enjoyed meeting JB & learning the processes & watching extremely skilled specialists. We then visited the shop & had a cup of tea in the tea room.
V&A Museum is a triumph, great activity for the children. Beautiful courtyard with working fountains. A great place for lunch on a nice day. Looking forward to visiting the other shops around the courtyard Fiskars store, Sixtowns Distillery, Josiah & Co, & Lunar Storehouse
Plenty for a day trip summer or winter

Five friends enjoyed a Sunday session in the decorating studio where some of us decorated jugs, some vases and others mugs. We had great fun getting our creative juices flowing. We followed this up with brunch in the Tea Room. A lovely meal in a beautiful setting. It was a great morning and a different way to catch up with friends - best of all we go back in a few weeks to collect our ware - a memento of a great day.

Went here with my elderly mother for afternoon tea and a stroll round the V&A Wedgwood collection. Everyone - front of house staff (Julia was super helpful & attentive!) & café staff - was so lovely. The afternoon tea was delicious & great value for money. And the collection is brilliant. Mum absolutely loved her visit. We'll definitely be back.
