This shop is visually amazing with all that fantastic Moorcroft china on display plus the Museum showing Moorcroft’s prodigious output and all that amazing skilled work. There is a short but very good video - well worth a watch. The Collectors shop a few hundred meters away is also amazing and next door is a workshop were the staff were... More

Having looked longingly at beautiful Moorcroft pieces for years I went for the factory tour which was wonderful - the staff are enthusiastic and it's great to see such talent at work and makes you even more appreciative of what goes into producing these pieces of art. There is also a museum with lots of examples from the beginning up... More

This place has a great display of Moorcroft pottery through the ages with plenty of examples of the periods. Take the time to watch the video and check out the bottle kiln while you're there. Prices for the pieces are not necessarily the best you'll find though. They have tours too but we didn't have enough time to do one.

Excellent tour of a working pottery. This is a small factory and you visit each department, meet the staff working there and get a great feel for the amount of work that goes into each piece. As well as the shop there is also a small interesting museum. Really enjoyed the tour - highly recommended.

A mortgage was required to purchase a piece of Moorcroft, not for sightseers and bargain hunters. Go across the street to Dudson, much better selection and cheap prices.

Moorcroft art pottery is made entirely by hand in almost exactly the same way as it was over a century ago. Each piece of Moorcroft is tubelined with liquid clay and then hand-painted using techniques which have been passed down from generations of local potters. The history of this delightful pottery is built on superb artistry and world-class design. Moorcroft... More

We really enjoyed our visit to the small but perfectly-formed Moorcroft Museum with its full size bottle oven and explanations of the arcane art of pottery making. A highlight was talking to staff member Corrie, a thoroughly lovely lady with lots of knowledge and insights to impart. We are also indebted to Corrie's colleague, whose name I can't remember, for... I'd love to be able to review the shop, but it's closed at the moment (July 2016). As their website bears no information about this, I'm posting this note to help potential visitors. Try ringing before visiting (although I actually did this but got no reply - but others may be luckier).
