Fantastic place to come with friends for a bite to eat, and the beer garden is just amazing (even if I did leave a little more red than I'd hoped!)

Have been here twice now for something to eat. There is a really good sized beer garden, staff are pretty friendly and the food is not bad at all, not the best around but perfectly OK.

My family and I were visiting alton and wanted somewhere cheap to eat - being rated 3 stars we were sceptical. It was under £10 for most of our meals, all large portions. We were served extremely quickly and the food was absolutely beautiful. Will...More

This quite often can feel like two pubs sharing the same space, especially on a Friday. For the most part, this seems to be a food led pub. Dining tables are generally to the right of the bar with the area to the left of...More

Thank you for your review, its much appreciated! Indeed, Friday nights are our busiest night by far, and we do endeavour to keep the noise levels appropriate, however we are still a local pub and when its really really busy the sheer numbers of people...More

Hi Becky, Mothers Day was fully booked for us which meant our kitchen was already operating at full capacity. We did think we had removed all the menu's from our standard menu as we were operating our 3 course Mothers Day menu on that day,...More
