About
We have reopened under new management. Stocc Lodge is a tribute to the origins of the name Stockton, thought by some to derive from the Anglo Saxon word Stocc, meaning Log. So to answer your question, we've kind of called the pub Log Lodge (in Anglo Saxon). We've tried to capture the spirit and feel of a relaxed Lodge with a complete overhaul of the interior and exterior of the pub with wooden panelling, reclaimed wood flooring and a feature fireplace, chimney and hearth, for fireside eating and drinking (think Alpine re-treat without the snow...or ski's).

Good food good grub enjoyable staff friendly and a good atmosphere all in all a good pub to visit and I would recommend this as a good place to eat

the worst parmo of my life. about 3 cm by 3cm . the garlic sauce was straight out of a cheap macro squirty bottle. the chips where tasteless . the drinks couldnt even wash the horrible meal down. black current tasted 10 weeks out of date. wouldnt go back EVER. COST ME £20!!

We arrived at the Rimswell for our family get together for a birthday meal,
Bar staff were friendly enough, went down hill after that. We were looking at the menu ( bit expensive) only to see the chef who is also the landlord smoking out side with his chef clothes on, I told him of my disappointment and we would not be ordering food its an absolute turn off to see the chef smoking in full view of the customers..
We will definitely not go back because of this

Lovely pub. Staff friendly.lovely beer nice atmosphere plenty of room. First thing they did when I walked in with an assistance dog was bring a huge bowl of water. Overall service excellent

Not nice at all frozen mash frozen veg frozen roasties not enough gravy. Was still hungry after only nice thing was Yorkshire pudding

Sunday afternoon and busy. Lots of sport on tv and the bar is closed. Why? Please open the bar for those who want to have a drink and watch sport away from the busier lounge area. The reduced opening hours needs to be reviewed. Welcome customers at all reasonable opening hours.

Went to the Rimswell tonight ordered 5 meals plus drinks,
The price for the children’s meals is a set price whether you have 1.2.3 courses, beware when ordering these meals. We asked if we could order the deserts later after the children had eaten their mains it is not worth ordering a desert if they are full a waste for the pub, the barmaid told us yes we can.
when we went to ask for the deserts, we were then told we needed to order these when placing the original order, we explained what we had been told but these said these were the rules.
we had already paid the full price for 3 course, a good pub would of explained the process for next time but serve the desserts (good customer service)
We will not be returning there in the future; maybe £52 a visit is not enough for them

We have been thrilled with the revival of the Rimswell pub. So good to be able to get a real ale & meal if required. We have came to the bar the last couple of days for a peacefull few beers & sadly today - the bar was full of families & kids - the doors say no children & the lounge area had plenty of room. Bars are separate rooms for a reason. Understand its christmas but Disappointed & put off, as are plenty of other customers.

Went for Sunday lunch today and would definitely go again. We had roast beef and turkey dinners which were really lovely. For dessert we had apple crumble and cheesecake both delicious.
