A beautiful and interesting small theatre dated from early 19th Century. We had a conducted tour which was both interesting and informative by an excellent NT volunteer

We visited the theatre and received a conducted tour by a very knowledgeable and informative thespian who explained the history of the theatre from its humble beginnings. Initially over coffee and biscuits, the background was outlined prior to the conducted tour

Great seats, great play and a great evening out. I would recommend the adaptation of this Sherlock Holmes masterpiece.

The circle seating is all in boxes, which hold between four and six people and have seats which lift up to allow access to the front row. Seems to work. Perennial problem of long queues for the Ladies

We booked on to one of the guided tours in advance of visiting Bury, and are very glad we did, especially because it's free to National Trust members. Definitely worth booking in advance, as two of our friends were turned away earlier in the day...More
