A good quality cafe. Not a vast range, but good when you want a 'bite to eat' and not a meal. Friendly, courteous staff. Surrounded by all sorts of 'speciality restaurants', the Apex offers the chance of fortifying yourself before tackling the shops. In windy weather, sit towards the middle of the cafe, near the revolving doors, as Charter Square... More

Our first visit to the Apex, and we were not dissapointed with the venue as far as the music went. A really lovely modern building loads of leg room, we were in isle 'N' we would definitely return! However we would not dine there again...sorry! It is not expensive at all but I would say child size portions, which is... More

We saw The Albion band here last month. A very smart, modern venue. It is in the centre of Bury & was a little hard to find on a cold, wet, winters evening, but was worth it.

Whatever your preferred genre of music, the Apex has a schedule with something for everyone. From the monthly Fat Cat Comedy club, to folk music to classical to rock, I feel so lucky that I live so close to such a fantastic venue. Acoustics are amazing and the atmosphere is superb! Recommend checking "What's On" regularly as you could miss... More

Very good band Barry Steele & friends as Roy Orbison Tribute playing to an almost full house. Some left the theatre before the interval complaining of sound problem. Sadly their sound system was faulty so Barry's voice was drowned out by the drums. Apex management blamed the band's equipment. A lot of unhappy customers last night.

Hello, thank you for your review. We have received a number of complaints about the sound for this show. I can confirm there was no fault with the sound system. We have passed the complaints directly onto the shows producer, as it was their own (and not an Apex) sound engineer working on the show on the night. Our own,... More

A great venue for all kinds of entertainment, we have seen singers, bands and comedians here and it worked for all of them. Good facilities and ease of access make it a very easy place to reach, park and be comfortable.. There are a plethora of cafes/restaurants in the same area so getting fed and watered beforehand is simplicity itself.

We are becoming regular visitors to the Apex which has some great acts with tickets at what we feel are reasonable prices, certainly if you compare them to London theatres! This time we saw Carols by Candelight and what a fun evening it was with such a talented group of musicians and singers. There was nothing stuffy about this performance... More

Sat in the stalls which were acceptably comfortable although the seat does not tip up which makes allowing others to pass a bit tricky. Otherwise nice clean new venue, good sound quality and good facilities. Maddy was great as usual and we enjoyed an evening of mediaeval music which was very fitting for Bury!
