My wife and i visited the Apex for the first time on Thursday evening 12 May to see Gilbert O Sullivan. I was very impressed by the whole set up with very attentive staff.
It was a great evening, the fourth time I have seen my favourite singer song writer. So easy to access and so interment. We will be back.

What a show. What a performance from Giovanni Pernice and his extremely talented team of Dancers and Singers. It was pure perfection! We were taken through many different dance styles including, the Charleston, Latin, Jive and the Argentine Tango. Giovanni also likes to chat with the audience and has a great sense of humour. What took our breath away was when he sang along to Andrea Bocelli's The Prayer, not a dry eye in the house! Without doubt this is one of the best shows we have ever seen at the Apex; it was a complete sell out. To say that Giovanni and all the cast lit up the stage is an understatement. The atmosphere was electric and the standing ovation was well deserved. In Giovanni's own words: lovely jubbly, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you also to all the staff and volunteers at the Apex who always make sure that you have an enjoyable visit. We did indeed!

Me my nan and my grandad came here yesterday day to see Louis Pearl aka the amazing bubble man and the show was fantastic! He was very talented and professional. He made everyone laugh and he was educational at the same. He blew a square bubble he made a snowman bubble he made a disco bubble and he even put the audience in a bubble. I highly recommend you go to see him.😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️
The amazing bubble isn’t the only good show at the apex a few years ago they had a moon display on in the Apex.

We visited the Apex to see the superbly funny Omid Djalli this week. Omid was fabulous as always and the Apex is a superb venue. Whatever you choose to see there, the building itself and facilities are superb. Highly recommended.

What a shambles!!!! Cancelled a show failed to inform anyone and then refuse to give your money back!! Managed need to look at their box office staff and policy’s as they are losing genuine customers down to this.

The Gaia exhibition was just great. I only went because my wife was so keen but I couldn't believe just how good the giant model of the planet earth could be.
And the wonderful mood music was the perfect accompaniment.
I'm not sure there is a better free day out.
Two moans from me. The lighting for the Gaia could have been much better. There was too much background lighting to reduce the space effect.
And the Apex staff were over cautious because of Covid - they were much more interested in taking our personal details than checking whether or not our ticket was ok. And why did 4 out 6 urinals need to be taped off in the downstairs mens' toilet.

We visited the Apex last week, to view the art installation “Gaia”. A giant globe, suspended from the ceiling giving you a virtual “view fro space”. Blooming marvellous !

Can you buy some wine glasses please, it is insulting to be served a glass of wine in a plastic tumbler. If I had been warned that you have once again "run out of glasses" I would not have purchased the drinks. It is unacceptable to use picnic tumblers for wine, the Theatre Royal and the Wolsey all use glasses in the bar/foyer areas and keep the plastics for drinking in the auditorium. The bar staff can be very abrupt and rude, I shall not use the bar in future and I am a regular at this theatre. Glenda.
Where is the standing area in the apex. Debating on reserved stalls or unreserved standing but can't work out from seating plan where the standing is. Thanks

First of all, sincere apologies for not replying sooner. We're having real problems at the moment as we only receive ad hoc notifications from Trip Advisor, which our digital Marketing Officer is looing into.
To answer your question, The Apex has a very flexible auditorium, which allows us to select a number of layouts. Essentially, for some shows the 'stalls' are all seated and for some shows they are either all standing or a combination of both seated and standing. However, the balcony and upper balcony are always seated.
With kindest regards

Has anyone sat in the lower Balcony seats by the side of the stage.. would you recommend these over seats at the back of the stalls?? I'm not sure which would be the best pace?
Thanks in advance H

Thank you for your message.
I can genuinely say there isn't a poor view from anywhere in the auditorium. Whilst preference to where to sit is personal, I can say we have a lot of customers who always book seats in the lower balcony at the sides. However, if you sit in the rear of the stalls, you still have an excellent site line and view of the stage.
Hope that helps?
