Lavenham: Discover the Tudor side of life on this medieval audio walking tour

This is THE walk for those people who have always wanted to walk along enough medieval streets to make up a whole medieval village. Maybe your interest in old timbered buildings was awakened by Tolkien or Harry Potter?

Every street leads to the Market Square and every street has timbered houses along the route. It is one of those places that you visit once and then fall in love with. Even on the bleakest of days, there are people looking around the streets.

Having been brought up in the area I have collected various stories about these buildings. Here I share such stories in an audio tour. This is a tour where the Tudor wool traders start to be more than words in a book. The Dukes of Oxford (the De Vere family) and the wealthiest commoners in England rubbed shoulders in these streets 900 years ago. We seek out the clues that they left behind over the centuries to get a glimpse into their lives.

A fantastic experience with Steve and "Treacle" Steve has so much knowledge and passion relating to his birds of prey and taken time to answer questions about them. The birds are so well cared for and are a credit to all involved. A must visit IMO

A superb raven experience (with extras). Steve and his team are knowledgeable and passionate. Steve's enthusiasm for the animals he looks after, should be bottled and sold. This is an organisation that deserves to thrive. Michael and Sarah

Had a great half day flying 6 different birds and Steve was very informative. Sited in a small commercial unit area with a nursey and coffee shop.

Every time I have been to this falconry has been amazing! the animals are so well cared for and loved by the wonderful staff and it is a great place to take the family! Depending on what experience you book you get to meet a variety of different birds including owls, hawks and falcons and even some really cool reptiles. I would definitely recommend spending a day down at the falconry, you are guaranteed to enjoy it!
