Paid that little bit extra for a day to remember and it certainly was from start to finish. Started just after 7am for a visit to Warren Hill gallops to be followed by a tour of Newmarket and a ride past other gallops and training establishments. Visited Julia Fielden's stables to experience the fantastic attention to detail offered by a... More

We joined the morning tour of the National Stud, which we found to be very interesting and enlightening. Amazing place, with much to see and enjoy. Well worth considering if you're visiting the area.

This Natinal stud is well worth a visit as it is set in th most beautiful serene countryside . There is a lovely refreshment building which stocks delicious cakes sandwiches and a gift shop selling paintings of horses by good artists.

Our guide "Frankie" gave a tour of the National Stud which was pitched at exactly the right level to cater for those with little knowledge of the horse racing industry and those with some background experience. Her style was fun and very flexible, adapting the talk and tour to our questions. Very worthwhile. Recommended!

Added this to our agenda as part of Newmarket Open Weekend and really enjoyed it. Was a 'taster' of the full tour. Very interesting and I'm sure in the Spring when there are lots of young foals, would be lovely. Tour Guide very knowledgable. I'm sure the full tour will be well worth a visit.

Really lovely place to visit - try to go in the spring and you'll see the beautiful foals. Great tour guide on the bus too - lots of energy and knowledge.

Took this tour on a rainy Saturday with my two kids, 4 and 6. Chris was an entertaining guide and a font of information. Not much to see due to the time of year but we loved the curious foals. Would take this tour again at a different time of year to see a different side of the operation.
