Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Little disappointing, but a free to use so shouldn't complain .
Only 6 mats in use for the big slides, and no control on order for use. Lots of cutting in.
Small pool ok.
Good to see lifeguards present.

So much fun here! Great place for all ages, there is spray parks for the young kids and wicked slides for the big kids and adults. Take a picnic lunch and chill out here for the day. AWESOME!!

Amazes me how people always find things to whinge about!
This place is FREE so there is nothing to be negative about! You could spend an hour here or the whole day. The giant slides are fun for everyone, there is lots of space to chill out and picnic and the smaller 2 water play areas are also fun for younger kiddies. Personally we find Leanyer more fun but a great time can be had here too! And again it is FREE! Well done NT!

The slides are great if you are fit enough to go up the stairs. I think that whole park was a big waste of money..... However the kids area is pretty cool where they can play with the piano and that. But only caters to toddlers and fit teenagers. So for parents taking kids there is no where for them to cool off. Also it's only open certain days and times which is inconvenient. Not a lot of thought went into this. Oh yeah there is bbq facilities.

Was nice, a bit too hot as there wasn't much shade.
Didn't take the kids but went with two friends and enjoyed ourselves.

Loved that it was Free, The Water slide was very good, but facilities for smaller kids were not as good as Leanyer Park, Palmerston Water Park would be better if it had a pool as well

SO there is a big slide. A play pool for the little kids. A cafe which is ok when it is open. The toilets are on one side of the park so if you have little kids be ready to walk in the hot sun back and forth. That's it, no pool to swim in. Go in the dry its way to hot and arduous to get to in the wet season.

Its a good little park if you just want somewhere to cool the kids off and don't want to travel far from Palmerston etc. But man it would be so much better with a deeper pool like a Leanyer. I am sure the bigger kids get good use of the watersides.

I live in palmerston so the waterpark is a staple free activity when I’m tired of the kids and want to tire them out for an arvo nap.
Not much to do for the adults or bigger kids, apart from the slide but that could be entertaining for an hour or so. Plenty of benches and outdoor space for parties/picnics. Not much shade around the little pool though.
The last few times I’ve been, the food place was closed. It’s like one of those places that’s hit and miss when it’s open and the quality of the food hits the right spot. Never see anyone in the cafe area during the week. Very advised to take your own drinks and snacks. Always a friendly lifeguard on duty forever telling the kids not to slide on their bellies down the slide 😂
Good for a hour or so, catch up with friends as you dip your feet and kids can run around and be kids.

A great place to cool off in the heat with a large variety of water play areas in addition to the giant water slide. We brought our 3 year old grandson, and although he is too little for the water slide there were enough other exciting water features to keep him amused and cool.
Ample parking and a kiosk selling snacks, ice creams and drinks. Great place to relax and cool off
