This is a really nice place to visit. The volunteer that was there when we visited, was very knowledgeable, and clearly enthusiastic about the place. It was nice to watch the water from the viewing deck, as much as going round the mill itself.

A worthwhile visit to one of only two Two Tide Mills left in the UK
An interesting trip to one of only two Tide Mills left in the UK. Buy the tickets online and look under 'Plan Your Trip' to see what time the Tide Mill Wheel will be turning. The ticket was for the day so we went half-an-hour before the Wheel was due to turn. The Volunteers were quite passionate about the Mill and very happy to answer questions. There were three floors to climb, activities to interest children such as weighing scales, buttons to push for automated voices, questions with answers such as what each crop was used for. It was quite exciting when the water eventually came gushing in and the wheel began to turn. There were several souvenirs to buy in the shop, but the bonus was buying a bag of fine stoneground wholemeal flour with the Woodbridge Tide Mill Recipe book.

    top attraction in Woodbridge
Very good displays and exhibits, in a spectacular setting. Easily worth an hour, plus nearby other attractions. Could be better signage eg from the road & quay; also information about when the mill will be working

    Excellent place to visit
Brilliant place to visit - a real part of history! Helpful board outside advised when the wheel would be running - it is limited by the tides! Brilliant guide talked us through the mill and the exhibits!! Really knowledgable and explained everything brilliantly! Plenty if parking at the train station which is just a short walk away!! Is well worth a visit - especially when the wheel is running! I feel it is really important to support places like these that are trying to keep our history alive in difficult times!!

Beautiful unique gem, a must see
Fantastic place, throughly recommend this to all. Young and old and everyone in-between. Such a unique and interesting place with lots to see and do for all ages. We have children aged 9-19 and they all loved it, even our 15 year boy! We went thinking it would be quite a quick visit but we ended up staying until it closed. Christina who was working in the mill was a wealth of knowledge and so enthusiastic about the place which was lovely. The only thing I’d have liked to have seen more of ( and Christina agreed) was more information and recognition to the lady who saved the mill and bought it at the auction. She deserves to be celebrated and I for one am so thankful she preserved this amazing place for all generations to come.

    Brilliant!
Excellent! This was such a treat as the staff were so knowledgeable and engaging. We spent over an hour (which seemed much less) wandering around and learning about the tide mill. There was also an enjoyable short informative film to watch. We got to see the mill in action which was exciting; it felt like such a privilege to witness this ancient method of grinding grain. We bought a bag of the flour produced on site and are very much looking forward to making some bread. A big thank you to the staff!
