Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Highly engaging, informative and enjoyable. Eric the guide presented the history and information with clarity and humour.

These FREE walks are a great opportunity to expand your historical knowledge whether you are a local or just an occasional visitor. Our guide Paul was knowledgeable and with good sense of humour, so did not just deliver the usual boring lecture on the town's history, but also elicited questions and interacted with the audience.

Wonderful Lewis Carroll tour of Guildford, stopping at multiple locations to discuss his life, works and impact on the city and world. Very informative with interesting trivia, visual guides and an in-depth look into his life and motivations. Guide was very engaging and a true expert in the subject. Thoroughly recommend.

Even though I've lived in Guildford for 22 years, I still learnt plenty on this free 1.5 hour tour! Geoff, our guide, was both interesting and highly knowledgeable about the area and we covered aspects of the history of the town covering around 1000 years.
I hope to do more of these walks in future!

I've done two of these walks and they were both so interesting. And free! I learnt a lot and saw places I didn't know were there and wouldn't have been able to access alone.

Walked two informative and interesting tours; Pubs and Inns with Paul and Medieval Guildford with Susan. Both hosts were engaging and Susan was a great story teller and had us enraptured with her history knowledge! The tours are the right length and well paced. Would definitely recommend to both visitors and locals. I plan to book more!

We were pleased to be able to go on a town walk with a very knowledgeable local. The walk covered the CBD with stops at the Tunsgate, Alan Turings House, the castle, Alice through the Looking Glass statue, local churches and guild hall to name some of the stops. Guildford can be a bit hilly but our guide walked at strolling space and stopped frequently. Really appreciated being able to visit the guildhall.
