We started with a 40 minute boat rise on a silent, electric powered canal boat. Then we looked round all the buildings and boats on the wharf. A good visit for a couple of hours

This place has been very well preserved as a remnant of earlier times before road and air freight, when our rivers and canals were the main transport arteries. I have reviewed this National Trust site before and everything I stated then still applies. As well...More

Hi - yes, I'm afraid members to have to pay for the boat trip. The adult price is £3.95, child price £2.30 and a family of 2 adults and 2 children is £11.50. We hope you enjoy it!
