We arrived on a fine spring afternoon. The gardens were quite pleasant, an array of colourful flowers greeted our eyes. There was a confusingly square piece of land which turned out to be for bowling. The path through the gardens is quite complex..no sooner are you up a hill you have to descend back down it. Absolutely stunning castle just off the main high street. But what surprised us, was how beautiful the gardens were, a perfect setting for sitting on our picnic blanket whilst enjoying our Bollinger!

Had a lovely visit, sitting and drinking in the visual display. Don't often see this sort of formal planting any more, so well worth taking a detour from shopping.

Really beautiful at this time of year (April) because of the fantastic tulip displays, combined with other harmonizing plants, such as wallflowers. Ideal for a wander and don't forget to take you camera! It's all very photogenic

Very pretty place during Spring time. Very flowery and colourful. The castle is open to visit but when I wanted to pay by card for tickets - it was impossible ( I don't know why). Anyway- place worth to see.

Guildford's secret. The flowers are out. It is simply beautiful. Have a picnic on the grass in the sunshine. And just watch the world go by.

it is lovely to walk around the gardens here, surrounded by flowers and trees and then to gaze up at the ruined tower- when you ascend, there are great views too!!
