My daughter rides at Murton Equestrian Centre and I can't recommend here enough! Indoor and outdoor arenas, lots of equipment and a huge class/lesson variety. Lots of beautiful and very well cared for horses, different sizes and abilities to suit any riding ability. The staff are absolutely amazing at MEC, my daughter has progressed so much and her confidence has grown significantly! Always a friendly welcome every week and the instructors really care for their clients! It's wonderful how much my daughter loves riding here!

What a find was recommended by a friend , my son always been in to horses and this has to be the best place ever , every person who has give him a lesson has been so amazing with instructions and so encouraging, honestly can’t praise it enough

Disappointing party for my daughter. We booked party as my daughter loves horses , It was a letdown and 30 minutes ride on pony and then left with the young volunteer girls with some scruffy brushes to groom the pony’s . No party atmosphere. Only wished we hadn’t booked this .

My 10 year old daughter has been riding at Murton for the past year when possible throughout lockdown. As a novice she started with 30 minute private lessons and after about 12 of them progressed to the beginners 30 minute group lessons, which reduced the cost per lesson. Since then she has joined the juniors one hour group lessons each week for the same price offering great value for money. She absolutely loves her time at Murton. It is a family run and owned equestrian centre with friendly staff and instructors. The ponies and horses are well looked after and cared for. My daughter completed an “own your own pony day” in the half term and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of horse and stable management, riding and fun and games with her newly made ‘horse mad’ friends. So much so that she asked to do it again in the summer holidays. She has just completed her first “own your own pony week” which was an absolute winner. Such a great experience, chance to make new friends and learn so much. There was also a Gymkhana at the end of the week with competitions and prize giving. It was so good to see the riders encouraging their new found friends to ride well in each round and congratulate each other on their successes. There was a lot of laughter too at the ponies and their unique ways of completing the course. All in all a fantastic experience which we can highly recommend, thank you Murton.

My daughter has just started riding and Pony Club here and loves it so I decided I would try the “adult own a pony day” and had a brilliant time- it was a great refresher for me and the group was a lovely mix of abilities.
The yard has a friendly atmosphere, is very well organised and professionally run. All the horses are well cared for and a pleasure to be around- I hadn’t realised how much I had missed being around horses until today! I can’t wait to do more of the activities on offer and will be recommending the yard to anyone who will listen!

I’ve always wanted to learn to ride but wondered if I was too old as an adult. Absolutely not. The instructors are friendly and helpful. I chose private lessons and they have really helped me excel. From never being on a horse to cantering within 12 week is pretty good going. I usually come once a week. The horses are so well behaved and excellent for beginners. I’ve ridden a whole host of different horses and this has been excellent experience for me. I really enjoy coming each week. I’ve attended a day course as well to learn to look after a horse from grooming, tacking up, stable management, leading & catching. It was a great day and included an hours loose lesson with your instructor. Really good value for money.

Having moved yards to Murton and done my research I can honestly say this is a fabulous place for people of any ability and age to learn about horse and to ride. The staff are very focussed on the welfare of the horses and ponies and the attention and commitment to helping riders to learn is second to none.
The horses and ponies are all healthy and happy and the yard and facilities are brilliantly maintained. Standards are very high.

Friendly family run riding school. The horses are well schooled and the instructors extremely knowledgeable. Every level of rider is catered for and made to feel very welcome. Relaxed atmosphere whilst having a lesson. Both my daughter and myself ride here and highly recommend it. My daughter practically likes the jump and go competitions that the school runs.

Very friendly riding school, with amazing horses and friendly staff that are always helpful. Kaitlyn, one of the instructors, teaches amazing lessons, learning you all you need to know about the horses and techniques! Would 100% recommend this riding school, I’ve been there for 2 1/2 years and I love it!

Both my daughter and myself ride at Murton. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well schooled horses. The school runs both private and group lessons that cater for all abilities. My daughter enjoys the jump and go competitions that they run.
Would highly recommend a trip to Murton Equestrian Centre.
