Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Diane our tour guide did a superb job giving us a history if the area. Did not realise how much industry was in that part of Newcastle. Would like to explore more of the area following this tour. Be good when they get the visitor centre opened

I’ve lived in Newcastle most of my life, but I didn’t know much about the history of the Ouseburn. I found the guided walk really interesting - the Ouseburn is such a vibrant place at the minute so finding out the history of the different buildings was fascinating.

An excellent tour made even more enjoyable by two well-informed and entertaining guides. We did the tour on the 28th December and the guides were inspired indeed. Wouldn't mind visiting again.

Enjoyable and informative walk around the fascinating and historic area of Ouseburn. Far more interesting fir me than tours of stately homes or Roman forts. Who would know there was so much to see in such a small area?

This guided tour is excellent (20/8/22). Diane, the guide, was very knowledgeable of the area, and delivered the tour with good fun, throwing in many interesting facts and quotations to bring the history alive
As somebody from Newcastle and having spent a lot of time in the Ouseburn valley, I left knowing much more about the area's past and also what is going on now. Definitely worth taking a couple of hours out of your day as a local or a tourist.
We'll be back for the Tunnel Tour.

Thank you John (and Jackie) for such a wonderful and informative tour of the Ouseburn Valley yesterday. We travelled down from the Scottish Borders but the tour was well worth the journey and we hope to join you again soon

Thank you so much to our amazing tour guide Diane, who gave me and my parents a super interesting tour of Ouseburn. We live locally but there was so much history that we had no idea about and will hopefully remember for the future! Thanks so much also to Lesley who helped with booking the tour and especially helped with accommodating our little baby on the tour. Definitely amazing value for money and incredible that this is run by volunteers - such a special thing to have on our doorstep, we’ll definitely be back for more!

Thank you for you lovely review; Diane will be so pleased you enjoyed the walk. We especially like it when local people learn more about the history of the Ouseburn valley and can share it with others.
