Part of the scenery in Newcastle. Just one of many architectural masterpieces in the friendly city. Close to all the shops too.

Acknowledging Earl Grey's passing of the Great Reform Act of 1832 - on occasion you can access the viewing platform - a miraculous sight.

The location of this monument is perfect. It is located just outside the Eldon garden mall and Grey street. You can eat, take a break or do some shopping if you are around.

There's always something going on at the base. Protests, markets, people milling about. It's the beating heart of the city. A few times a year you can climb up it and look at the view, well worth it if your knees can take it! :)

This is an imposing monument which is worth a look. There is a brief history of the reason for the monument written on its base.

Nothing special it's just a monument. I suppose it's very clean and in the city centre with lots to do around it. There are frequent protests but nothing special at all.
