In a recent walk through Jesmond Dene we saw a couple of fingfishers. We can recommend this as a good country walk even though it is in the city.

A lovely peaceful spot to walk or visit the animals - a place for everyone from the very young to elderly. Swings etc for the little ones, nature and coffee/tea for those that desire it!

Me and my husband regularly walk through Jesmond Dene park, its lovely in the summer, a few different routes to go on and theres a petting zoo with a variety of animal!

A great gift from lord Armstrong to Newcastle ,its a wonderful place for adults and kids (Pets Corner),fabulous for walks, nice cafe for a welcome cuppa.The waterfall and wonderful trees and plants are the icing on the cake.

there is a big open grass space next to the old water mill. quite a walk from car park though. You may be able to BBQ there.
