Well, if you can find it underneath the Tyne Bridge it will probably have a free exhibition. We went in November and there was a very powerful photographic record of the colour issues in the US in the 60's. Check what's on and try your...More

The Side Gallery is tucked away in an alley near the riverside but is well worth searching out. When we visited there was a fascinating exhibition about shipbuilding and ship repair on the Tyne. Some books for sale on the ground floor. Exhibitions vary.

Interesting, small gallery. Nice lady on the desk who gave plenty on information and leaflets. Only spotted this place by chance. Glad we went in! A fab 20/30 minutes was had in this small gallery.

We saw a photograph exhibition about poverty and people in Detroit USA. Some amazing images show the harsh reality. Will Donald Trump fix this in the so called land of plenty?

The new exhibition after Side's re-opening really takes advantage of the increased space. It's an excellent exhibition called Childhoods. There is so much to see, I'm going to have to call in again. The prints are really varied and well displayed with very good commentary...More

Spread over two floors are some of the most thought provoking images I have come across in year. Beautiful synchronised photos show an individual and his bedroom; the story they tell can funny , but the ones that stick are where a child is forced...More
