A very nice area of the city and a really nice market with great architecture as well as a good variety of stalls. Little Italy is an excellent cafe in the market.

Fabulous part of Newcastle. Beautiful buildings, stone facades, classic designs. A walk up Grey Street from the quayside, through Central arcade and on to Grainger street today in glorious summer sun.

Wow! What a great place to get a massive slice of authentic pizza pizza for £2.00. If your hungry but not wanting a large meal its a great. Whilst your eating your pizza you can soak up the market vibes and it's splendid historic surroundings.

Grainger Market is brilliant - you can get anything there and the stalls are really good value. The Central Arcade is gorgeous with lovely mosaic floor, stunning tile work and glass and iron roof.

Grainger Town has lots of stores that sell a huge variety of items, from clothing to books and old records. I haven't tried the food, but it sure did look good.

There is no entrance fee for the Grainger Market. It's still a bustling retail market with a wide variety of goods on offer. Just browse, look around at the architecture and, who knows, perhaps make a purchase or two... More
