Although we are both locals, born and bred, we never tire of the views along the Quayside and all the attractions along the way, from the art installations of Andy Goldsworthy to the Baltic to the Sunday Market and all the local eateries.

The best time ever! The bridges are amazing and if you stand on one of them you can see pretty much all of the others it's truly mesmerising!

Drink here regularily, there are numerous bars along the Quayside to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and views of the river Tyne. Always full of interesting people / visitors from all over the world.

There's so much to see and do at the Quayside, especially on a Sunday when it is market day - with all sorts of different foods on display. Restaurants are busy but you can usually find somewhere to have a coffee.

Lovely wee place good food and comfy seating massive outside area which was nice Inside a little on the small side but best avoid busy weekends or it will be packed but overall lovely little place

Just head for the Blinking Eye Bridge and sit outside the Pitcher and Piano. Wait for the sun to start going down (up river) to wards the Bridges, you will get some fabulous views and photographs of the Bridges and the Sage.
