We went here on a Tuesday night as something different to do with the kids whilst visiting Newcastle. Easy to get to - we used an Uber which cost £9 from the Quayside.
Due to Covid our tickets had to include a meal option which was pie, mash and gravy for us adults and chicken or fish and chips for the kids.
Staff were all really friendly - manager took the time to go round and chat to everyone and give them his "tips" and Hayley our waitress (as its table service only) was so so nice!! As was the girl going round taking bets.
All in all a really nice chilled evening doing something a bit different with the kids. The excitement of cheering on their dog and of course winning. Would defo recommend 👌

I thought an evening at the Newcastle greyhounds seemed interesting so I went on their website to find out how to get there. I travel by public transport.
There was no information. To A.R.C,Newcastle Greyhound Stadium’s owners.
In order that prospective patrons can actually attend your meetings it’s probably advisable that you inform them how to get there.

Great atmosphere, view of track is very good. Child friendly.
Very disappointed at the quality of the drink I was served, 1st pint of Warsteiner was promptly poured away by bar staff as it was totally flat, the next one took ages to get any sign of life in it, flat, soapy tasting, not a good experience. When I looked around it appeared that all draught lagers looked flat.
No reply to my message to the race course.
Next time, it will be bottled beer.

I booked this as a surprise for my wife, not known if what to expect, but what a brilliant day, great venue, great staff and the treatment of the dogs was fantastic. I also sponsored a race in my wife’s name and her face was unbeatable. Cannot wait to come back!

Not having been to the dogs before, we really had no idea what to expect. Any fears we had of Arthur Dalyesque blokes in sheepskins and caps, were allayed. The Trackside Restaurant offers great views of the circuit. Out bets were promptly taken by friendly and efficient Tote staff. The food was served on time and piping hot (in fact, everyone's was) and the drinks service, meant we didn't have to queue at the bars. Overall, we'd not hesitate to return to Newcastle Greyhound Stadium. Well done folks....

Very rough! It's tucked away in an industrial estate on the outskirts of the city centre. It's very rough which is painfully obvious from the drive in and it doesn't get any better.

Food is poor quality, toilets aren't great, you can hear the dogs in the kennels next to the track whining and being shouted at. They keep offering discount tickets, it feels like a desperate attempt to attempt new blood.

My wife and I normally go to Newcastle Dogs once or twice a year, but after last nights visit it will be the last. We used to enjoy going because it was always for adults with the very occasional child. Last night was like being at a kinder garden with about a group of 10 children under the age of 10 years running wild in the restaurant. We also noticed the parents where putting bets on for the kids. Service at the restaurant bar was very poor and the service at the table was non-existent at the start of the evening. I also made a point of complaining to the manageress about the amount of children and was promptly informed that "It is a child friendly venue". Thank you William Hill for spoiling what used to be a good night out.

We are sorry that you didn’t enjoy your visit to Newcastle Greyhound Stadium. We pride ourselves on offering a great night out for all types of social groups including families. We receive lots of family birthday parties throughout the year in the restaurant, and children are welcome although they must be supervised. William Hill also have a very strict think 21 policy in place, which all the stadium staff receive training on.

I really enjoyed my afternoon here. Once I sussed out how they bet and how things worked I really loved it! Staff were friendly and up for a laugh and there was a good atmosphere. We got to sponsor and race and present to the winning dog which was a nice touch.
It is an old establishment so don’t expect the ritz. What you see is what you get. But it was a good bit of fun. Only drawback was it was very quiet while we were there, which was possibly due to ladies da taking place the same day in Newcastle.
