Saw Pride & Prejudice last night (Valentine's Day) an excellent production. Thoroughly enjoyed. Booked last minute. Only seats available were in the Amphitheatre, just below the roof. Seats had full view but good vision is essential. You are a long way from the stage. One disappointment which is why not 5 stars is the ticket price. At £26 per ticket... More

Watched the film THE COMMITMENTS in the 90's and was a fantastic film so my wife and i had to book up and see the theatre production . The theatre production was fantastic really great show with loads of parts that were really funny and was well put together from the actors/actresses to the music played .

Haven't been the theatre in years not since leaving the NE but thoroughly enjoyed the matinee yesterday. A great show and well done the lead singers and all the accompanying voices. The security guard brought a rip roaring laugh from his 'fools' role fantastically farcical.

Went to see the commitments here The theatre is a nostalgic theatre opened on 27th February 1837! Only thing is seats can be hard and can feel it after being sitting for a while! But nice theatre thou! 😊

Just come back from seeing The Commitments at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle upon Tyne, a truly magnificent venue. If you want a hand-clappin, foot-stompin, rockin soul experience, get yourself down there and prepare to be royally entertained!

Beautiful historic building in the centre of Newcastle and absolutely well worth a visit. The atmosphere is excellent, especially if the people attending are up for a good night. As there can be some encouragement from the stage for the crowd to get involved. The view from the stalls and Grand Circle is excellent and very good from the Upper... More

We went to see Dirty Dancing recently and the behaviour of some drunken customers was disgraceful. What was worse was the fact that the staff did not challenge this, even though customers were warned about standing and blocking the view of others, at the start of the show. Staff were ineffective and the enjoyment was ruined for those in and... More

Visited for Scottish Ballet's Hansel and Gretel. Seats (C18 and C19) were in the centre of the Grand Circle, so the view was amazing. Great production - with full orchestra. Just missed that final lift to take me somewhere very special.
