We are local and can go to the castle for free. It is not very big but beatiful ruin. Kids love it. It has lots of nice events through the school holiday time. Some nice pubs close by.

Lovely setting amid green fields!!! I walked down the path and imagined how it must have been to live there "back in the day." I believe it is used as a venue for events - perfect for that!

Great tea room in the stable block, great tour on handheld device at your own pace when last exploring, which gave good context to what we were seeing. 3 hours well spent.

Loved walking the walls and the tower. Some of the high balconies are quite daunting but really exciting for the kids.

Kenilworth Castle is looked after and operated by English Heritage and is one of their best sites. Lots of information boards, activities for children and facilities. Grounds are well maintained and staff were enthusiadtic and knowledgable.
