We attended the 3-hour Gin School and it was a thoroughly entertaining and informative session. I don't drink alcohol (I bought the experience for my wife's birthday) and wondered what I would do for the 3 hours while she was enjoying making her gin. We both had a wonderful time. My wife drank the gin and I was kept refreshed with coffee and soft drinks. The staff are very professional and enthusiastic and the atmosphere in the school was amazing. There is a good cafe for pre-school refreshments and a small shop where you can buy additional products.

The distillery is a little way out of town and if everyone in your party wants to take advantage of the numerous tastings throughout the course I recommend taking a taxi. The staff will help you book one for the return journey.

From the friendly greeting, followed by the complementary hot drink to the gin tasting and the lovely g&t at the end (or a miniature to take home for the drivers), this was our idea of the perfect experience of this type. Not too long, personal and ending with a nice drink!! We were also given a 10% off voucher should we wish to buy anything from the shop but there was absolutely no 'hard sell'. (The toilets were really nice too....always a good indicator!) The group was smallish -10 of us - so it was possible for everyone to see what was going on and to be able to ask questions easily. The information about the history of gin making was excellent and the speaker followed a beautifully drawn diagramatic presentation on the wall. We enjoyed seeing the room and the equipment used to make the actual gin and to hear, with personal anecdotes, how the company was growing from very humble beginnings! The presentation and tour was just the right length and it was nice that the owner came round to everyone individually at the end, so there was a chance to ask him questions and give our personal thanks for the experience. My partner uses a walking stick and, without asking, a member of the team quietly offered him a stool to sit on during the presentation and carried it to the still room, again without us asking, for his use there. A lovely touch, thank you. This is a young team with great products and a refreshingly friendly and open approach to customers. They really deserve to do well.

Wife & myself visited in January. The whole thing was very well organised, well presented and incredibly interesting, and with a small enough group for the personal touch.
The history of gin was presented in an entertaining and engaging manner, and it as clear that the whole team had a genuine enthusiasm for what they are engaged in.
Bought as a Virgin Experience on Black Friday and was fantastic value for money

We enjoyed the visit. It was interesting to learn the history of gin, and how it has become so popular, especially the explanation about the rapid rise in distilleries over the recent years.
The staff who gave the talks were obviously very enthusiastic about their subject.

This was the greatest fun! We were at gin school making our own gin. Thanks to the fantastic trio (particularly Sam) who guided us to blend our own botanical craft gin (and didn’t seem phased at all by the rowdy middle aged trio we were!).

A very boozy afternoon as we tasted our way through the various gins Shakespeare distillery make whilst making our own gin. Fantastic value as left with own bottle of gin (and mini bottle) - all uniquely labelled and beautifully boxed. Cannot wait to taste after the two weeks of infusing!

We were there as three school friends celebrating our 50th birthdays. This was the perfect way to do so. Sam and co entertained us brilliantly as well as taught us loads about the story of gin as well as help us make our own unique blend in a really fun atmosphere.

Bravo Shakespeare Distillery!

We did this tour after a friend recommended it and we weren’t disappointed!

Right from the off, the track and trace (barcode) information was on show and sanitising station as you entered.

The initial part of the tour was a 15/20 minute walk through the history of gin and a little about the birth of Shakespeare’s Distillery, followed by a tour of the equipment and an insight into the process of their production through every stage. The third part of the tour is the tasting of three of their craft gin flavours. Followed by a full G&T flavour of your choice.

The guys that run this facility are super friendly, welcoming and happy to answer any questions you have with their extensive knowledge.

We received 10% off in the shop as part of the tour ticket. A really nice addition to our two day stay in Stratford, we’d really recommend the visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Gin School experience and would highly recommend it to any lovers of this wonderful spirit. My partner and I chose to do this for a recent anniversary and I have to say that it would make a wonderful gift. It's a great way to spend an afternoon, learning about the history of Gin, the process of creating and distilling the product, tasting different varieties and gently getting inebriated while producing your very own blend to take away and savour at home. This is all done in the comfortable, modern classroom and distillery on the edge of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Being a small artisan business it was great to meet Simon, the founder and chief distiller and to see his passion and love for the product that he's created. Simon and his team shared their knowledge and expertise to help us each produce a style of gin of our choice from a large array of botanicals that were on offer.

The distillery is about a 10 minute drive out of Stratford town centre but too far to walk unless you allow plenty of time. I recommend leaving the car behind and taking a taxi or getting a lift in order to make the most of the afternoon as we were plied with gin from the moment we arrived. Drivers do get some small measures to take home with them but it's not nearly as much fun and you will miss out on tasting the ever-changing flavours of the different botanicals as your spirit filters through at 95% volume and evaporates off your tongue! You also get to name your finished gin and attach personalised labels to your bottles which is a nice touch. Gin School is very hands on from beginning to end. These guys have really cracked it and offer the perfect experience. My only concern is that those stools could really do with back rests as I kept thinking that I was going to do a Patsy (Ab' Fab) and lean back and end up in a drunken heap on the floor!

What an amazing place to visit, excellent value, friendly, informative staff,
The staff were friendly from the minute we walked in the door and greeted us with the offer of a drink (tea/coffee or water). The building was welcoming and interesting with an amazing wall coverage that was explained in detail during the tour. We would highly recommend this to everyone.
The gin tasting was brilliant and well explained and the goods available to purchase were very reasonably priced. A gem of a place.

We were fortunate to be given a gift voucher to take part in an afternoon of gin making. Our group had about 18 participants and mask wearing was encouraged.

As an introduction, we were given an interesting talk on the origins of gin making, together with some humorous facts. Paul ( I hope that I have your name rght) was very knowledgeable and engaging.
The main part of the afternoon involved selecting ingredients for our gin and putting these into our individual still. This felt like a fun science experiment!

The time went quickly, helped by being served several samples of different flavoured guns. By 6.00 pm everyone had a gift bag to take awaycontaining one large and one small bottle of personalised gin.
This was a great experience and for a gin lover I'd highly recommend a visit.

After a few date changes due to the pandemic my wife and I finally went to school.....Gin School of course! I can honestly say that this was one of the best afternoons we have had out in a while.

I bought this for my wife's 40th and I had no idea what to expect, at £125 for two, I was sceptical as to what we would get at that price. However, we were blown away by the experience and I will say that it went above and beyond my expectations!

I don't drink Gin, thats my wife's department....but, the Gins we were given, made at the distillery has made me realise I've been missing out!

The guys were brilliant and were very knowledgeable about Gin, and it's history. The founder of the company has clearly worked hard in the last six years and the distillery is a great place to visit, learn and create your own Gin to take home in two different sized bottles! And labeled with your a name of your choice!

I would highly recommend visiting here, just leave the cars or campers parked somewhere else and enjoy! Thanks for a great afternoon team.
