A Good Place to Stroll, or Feed the Ducks

Time out before the theatre, or a great place for the market stalls on a Sunday. Easy to get to, relaxed, popular, and right in front of the main theatre.

The beautiful Bancroft Gardens have long been the focal point of Stratford's riverside area. A wide-open square bounded by the river on one side, a selection of pubs, restsurants and shops on the other, plus the theatre at one end and the canal basin at the other. While away the time watching narrow boats descend from the canal through the... More

It was raining and did not take many photos, the area is a good walk and there was a Sunday market which was interesting.

Had a great day here with family. We were lucky as the weather was good and it's in the very centre of Stratford so you can go to do and see other things

A place you must see in the centre of Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon. Just enjoy a walk around. Sit and enjoy the surroundings. Bring a picnic. An interesting garden area in the centre of town with views of town, river and countryside. Sculpture and more

Quite a pleasant place to stretch your legs for 10 minutes. Get a good view of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre frontage, the grass is in a bit of a state though!

Been coming for years and always love to walk around the Gardens. To take in the flowers as well as the sculpture. To sit and chat to friends - to chill out for a while before going shopping or to the theatre.
