The RSC's recently transformed theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon re-opened in November 2010. The new building include two theatres, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Swan Theatre, both using a thrust stage. Tickets for RSC performances are available to purchase in advance on the RSC website. Visitors can also experience Theatre Tours, take a trip up the Tower for fantastic views of Stratford-upon-Avon and enjoy free exhibitions. You can also book a table for lunch or dinner in the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar or enjoy a light bite in the Riverside Cafe. There is free public Wi Fi throughout the building.

We visit the RSC every year and have never been disappointed with the productions. Both theatres are intimate and you are never far away from the action. A great cultural experience.

We live nearby and are ashamed we don't use the RSC more. We normally have a pre-theatre dinner in the quiet and relaxed Circle bar, and sit in the Circle where you literally hang above the action. The sight lines are simply amazing and this...More

We were a bit worried as we heard it was quite gory but it was brilliant! The acting, modern costumes, spartan set, great music, lighting, etc all.combined for a thrilling performance. And as first timers unbelievably it was free this week!! Wow!! Couldn't fault anything...More

There is parking on the streets around but fill quickly, I used the Bridge way multi story car park on the Bridgeway A3400. Which is a short walk about 5 mins to the RSC. Hope this is of help

We had our own car but did not see taxis waiting, however, taxis were collecting theatre goers. Looks like you would need to book.

In the main theatre, they do tip up, but the spring is not so strong that it will tip you up too! The seats are more comfortable and a bit more roomy than the Swan.
