Friday 25th February 2025 a very wet and wind day we decided to take our 5 year old granddaughter to the butterfly farm and I can only say it was a perfect day. We bought the booklet and activity book and had great fun spotting all the butterfly's as we went round, we even saw of a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis fantastic.
The activity book which was reasonably priced was also a great hit when we were home

Visit to Stratford Butterfly Farm for daughter's birthday. Reasonable admission price, especially when you can double up on Tesco vouchers. Lots of different butterflies flying around, also reptiles, amphibians, birds and invertebrates to see. Can also buy fish food to feed the carp.
Lots of information about life-cycle of the butterfly - they are amazing creatures.
Would like to come back in the summer to look for butterflies in the garden, however this visit was a very pleasant alternative to Black Friday shopping on a wet and windy Saturday.

What an amazing and beautiful experience. To see so many species of butterfly was truly incredible. Butterflies, a little crocodile, Ants, lizards, an iguana just chilling out. We loved it. We will definitely visit again when in the area.
What we didn’t like, there isn’t enough emphasis when you pay DO NOT TOUCH the butterflies, we witnessed adults and children picking them up, holding them for photos, despite the signs. Maybe staff could walk through monitoring this or make it clear when people are paying. Only once did we hear a message on the tannoy about holding the butterflies and the impact this can have on their life span.
The gift shop, we decided to buy several items for family, there was no queue, a man and a woman (staff) stood there chatting, the woman behind the counter, the man to the side, we had evidently turned invisible and stood there, waiting politely and patiently for a gap in their conversation so we could be served. They didn’t acknowledge us and even when we placed the items on the display stand near the til and I loudly said we will just leave it, they still didn’t serve us. So, we left the items and walked out.
Surely the sales are important to maintain the farm? Maybe not?
Some customer service training needed?

I absolutely loved this.
The main attraction is the butterflies, which flutter around and even land on you as you wander around this beautiful tropical paradise with carp pond, bridges, and waterfalls.
There's also insects and other creatures, both in the butterfly area and in separate zones.
Much as I love butterflies, my favourite part was the leaf cutter ants. They had two "tanks" and a rope walk between them over the heads of visitors.

This place was beautiful! So well set out and well-planted, the butterflies were everywhere! But what I really loved were the roul round partridges with their chicks and the minibeast section - I’ve never seen a colony of leaf cutter ants like it!! Really really good exhibit!

We've visited a lot of butterfly places over the years, and it rates amongst the best we've seen. There's a vast number of butterflies and you could see them close up on a feeding table, a great. The area the butterflies are in is large, has a good size pond which has fish in it, you can buy food to feed them as you enter. There are 2 iguanas although we only saw 1 of them but got quite a close-up view of it. The leaf cutter ant display had disappeared, possibly due to the queen ant dying they believe. As you would imagine the butterfly area is warm and humid but they actually have coat hooks as you enter the building that you can use, what a great idea and I for one took advantage of it. The gift shop was well stocked and with quite some different items to the usual run of the mill stuff.
Keep up the good work guys.

Truly enchanting experience! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the vibrant array of butterflies fluttering around. The garden is beautifully designed, with lush greenery and gently winding paths that lead you through. The staff was incredibly friendly.

Excellent value for an amazing experience. Be warned it is very hot and humid inside so dress accordingly. There were so many butterflies where ever you look and so many varieties. As I am a keen photographer I was delighted to get so many good photos. After the butterfly experience you enter a world of mini beasts. I would happily go again.

Just a short walk from Stratford upon Avon Town Centre we found this Butterfly and Reptile farm a great place to visit. Admittedly, we visited midweek and outside of School Holidays so there were not many people there. It is a good place to spend a couple of hours if you can stand the Humidity. In our opinion it was quite cheap in price because anywhere else in the Town that contains the word 'Shakespeare' can be very expensive for what it is.

Lovely place to have a look at butterflies and more actually. They have fish and also small insects. Plus iguanas.
It's humid and warm, obviously in the butterfly area but there is plenty of hooks to hang your coat on prior to entering the butterfly area.
This is not the first butterfly farm I've been to, and although seeing these butterfly in real life is so great it's a substitute that is pretty good.

We spent a couple of hours plus but there’s no time restraints. Just relax and look at the wonderful colours and the newly emerged butterflies drying out and feeding on the fruit. Brilliant!
