The Swan Theatre we have visited a number of times since it is quite local to us and have seen some truly brilliant theatre there. If it is still on The Rover was slick, extremely funny well acted with a great script. Not so two noble kinsmen- we saw today on a bleak day in Stratford. The two male leads... More

We have been to The Swan several times to see a variety of productions. The shape of the theatre, where the seating wraps around three sides of the stage, and mutiple entry points for performers, make this a very intimate venue.

We recently saw The Seven Acts of Mercy (based on Caravaggio's famous painting) at the Swan Theatre. It was absolutely superb and the stage setting was magical. I had an aisle seat near the stage and the actors brushed past me as they came and went. Totally enthralling and the cast had three curtain calls.

Love this place, such an immersive layout for a theatre that helps to bring the plays to life. The audience really are part of the performance. Always interesting plays and performances, recent favourites have been The Rover, Don Quixote and Love for love. Always a great cast and never a duff play.

I've just visited the Swan Theatre in Stratford upon Avon to see the The Seven Acts of Mercy by Anders Lustgarten. Utterly brilliant with fantastic performances from Patrick O'Kane, Allison McKenzie and TJ Jones! One of the most moving pieces of work I've seen in Stratford.

We could not get tickets for The Tempest (NOTE BOOK EARLY) so saw The Rover instead. Fantastic production, humorous and entertaining, caste were very dynamic and clear. Seats in front row of gallery to not lend themselves to the longer legged, so ask before you book. View of stage uninterrupted, an excellent night.

Visiting the Swan is becoming a bit of a Christmas tradition and I seem to be turning into a theatre critic! We saw Two Noble Kinsman last night and sat in the Gallery where the seats are much better than those we sat in last time on the ground floor. The play was 2.5 hours with a 20 minute break.... More

The two noble kinsmen was brilliant. I understand that this play is performed often, and some of the professional critics didn't seem to love it, but I thought it was brilliant. The two leads were fabulous in particular when together. All the cast were good though the set, music and tech were all good too.

I have been to the Swan a number of times now, it always has excellent productions. The Seven Acts of Mercy a couple of weeks ago was superb but be prepared to suffer throughout the evening. The RSC packs people in like sardines, we had ground floor seats in the front row at the side of the stage. Whilst this... More
