Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Headed here on the way to Stratford-upon-Avon’s centre for some Shakespeare. My friend loves WW2 and I’d heard it was free entry so thought we’d drop in.

Firstly, the museum is more of a holiday cottage. Nice building, but the reception is a check in desk for people staying at the lodge. There was a sign on the door saying reception is closed, please call a number for help with check-in. But the door was open and we just wanted to look around so we poked our heads in to find one guy at the desk, who told us he was busy working and seemed a bit annoyed to be interrupted. He showed us the door to the museum (you have to go into reception to get to it, so unsure how we could have entered without disturbing him…)

Displays were quite interesting and there’s a great paper sculpture of the trenches. Quite small but lots to take in. We were the only people in there so it was mainly a bit confusing and we felt guilty so left pretty quickly.

I visited this museum many years ago and it was full of good exhibits - film props, Shakespeare memorabilia, diarammas, a gallery of medieval armour, a lot of WW2 artefacts, an art gallery on the second floor, cannons and artillary pieces outside, and a huge life size model of a war elephant inside the building as a centre piece. I went recently again, being in the area, only to find an absolute shadow of its former self - a dreadful disappointment. The small amount now there is of interest , but the set up in comparison to its former years is appalling.

The museum was very interesting .It's a very tranquil place to stay ,the lodges are beautiful .If I had any negative to say ,it would be nice if there was alittle bar on site as its bit of a way to go to get into Stratford .

Had a lovely time looking around this museum. Great if you have an interest in WWII or Churchill. Free to get in, plenty of parking and the lady at the front desk was very welcoming. Hot and cold drinks were available in reception with a nice seating area.

Small perfectly formed FREE museum. Packed full of lots and lots of Churchill artefacts, fans of his would be delighted here. Very informative and lots of info on some of ww1 too. Worth a little detour for war historians. Made a donation to help for heroes.

A small but interesting museum that tells the story of Winston Churchill, with great artefacts. Also has details of British Commandos during World War 2 and their raid on Pegasus Bridge. Well worth a visit and its FREE as well, however we donated to Help the Heroes. Great local museum.

Smashing little museum and it's free to view. Well set out into areas covering Churchill, Pegasus Bridge in the Netherlands, a WW1 trench scene. There is also a section of a Vickers Wellington that came down in Scotland.

We visited the Armouries just because we are staying at the Holiday Park and it was ok for a small free exhibition. I think we would of been disappointed if we'd made a special trip.
