- TJmum_12Warwick, United Kingdom75 contributionsSpa day but pay for robe and towel!!I booked a spa day for 2 with a 40 minute treatment and we upgraded to longer treatment. Reception on arrival was great and everything explained clearly. First negative was they charge for robes and towels for a spa day which really should be included in the price in my opinion. You can have a hamper with robes towel and slippers for £20 or a robes for £14 and you get £10 back on return so a £4 charge. Thankfully I bought Flip flops but regretted not packing a towel as I have never paid for either on any spa day I've experienced. Surely it's part of the package? Our treatments were incredible and the therapists were amazing with no pushy sales after just recommendations for products on a discount coupon. The jacuzzi and facilities are amazing, pool was busy with members and unfortunately my towel got soaked so I had a soggy towel all afternoon and to shower with instead of getting another towel at extra cost so this didn't leave great impression. Food was okay, large pizza and nice salad. The afternoon tea I saw looked very disappointing so I'm glad I didn't order one. Overall, i felt like I was just in a members gym having a spa day, it didn't feel special siting in an open plan canteen in a robe, no luxurious touches like a nice dining room or bar area for guests the only place I felt offered that was the treatment rooms.Visited March 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 28 March 2023
- Penny G17 contributionsGood day but charge for towels needs a rethink? My husband and I had a spa day in March which was a wowcher gift. I was concerned at the negative reviews prior to arrival but this did not impact on our stay too much as we had a lovely relaxing day but I can see that there are areas that could easily be improved. The good - Every member of staff we encountered on the day was lovely. The treatments were enjoyable and very relaxing. Between us we had a back massage, hand massage, foot massage, head massage and facial. The jacuzzi was very good. We found the changing areas clean and tidy on the day we were there. We thought the cafe would be overpriced but it was standard cafe prices. Needs improving - Like other comments we wasn't impressed that we had to pay to hire towels and gowns which are usually included as standard at most places. Considering you are paying for these items the quality was poor. The towels were old, small and one was ripped. We didn't get any slippers in our bag either. We commented to each other that we had relegated better towels to use on our dog! Best to take your own towel and flip flops. Cheaper and more comfortable. Some of the loungers needed replacing/repairing. My husband had to fix his twice to stop it collapsing. We tried others but some were broken. People kept walking up to them but then walking away when they realised they were broken. Very few were comfortable but we did manage to swap to a lovely one and this made such a difference. It was hard to read on the loungers in most areas as it was so dark. We had terrible coughs the next day but maybe we overdid the time in the jacuzzi. The voucher included four treatments each but be warned we only felt we had three. When queried apparantly the fourth treatment is the heated eye mask they put over your eyes whilst having the other treatments. Although we had a nice day I think due to the improvements needed we would probably go elsewhere next time. Based on our experience on the day we felt four stars was generous but three didn't seem enough.Visited March 2023Written 13 April 2023

Both really enjoyed the day wasn’t very busy so no problem getting loungers by the pool . We both really enjoyed the treatments that we had and my sister had a lady called Megan and said was the best massage she’s ever had . One annoying thing was a water aerobics class in the pool with the instructor shouting doesn’t say relaxing spa day but fortunately we were having treatments so only had to put up with this for about 15 minutes . We had an afternoon tea included this was ok but very minimal what you got in terms of cakes .Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 6 June 2023
- scottpants58 contributionsSpa Seekers - £79 spa day - good valueWe booked via Spa Seekers for £79 spa day offer, 2 x 25 min treatments and use of facilities. The treatments (back, neck & shoulder massage) and facial were back to back which worked well. Huge thank you to Ursula and Kobi who both have magic hands! We both really enjoyed a very relaxing experience. All the staff were very attentive and professional. The pool area was busy but not uncomfortable so, we could get a lounger when required and didn't have to fight for jacuzzi space. The food offering was average, described as a "sour dough baguette with Wiltshire ham & salad" was a small baguette with cheap supermarket packet ham. That was disappointing. Although we were advised in advance, it was still annoying to pay for towels/ robes - £20 for bag including flip flops which you can then keep. £10 is refunded. In these economic times, you can understand why, but it still grates a bit. In the scheme of things however, its a well run operation and very pleasant and good value compared to many other spa offers.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 15 July 2023
- Katie M2 contributionsRelaxing dayThis place is great and budget friendly too. Very good value for money. Extremely clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Wonderful Swedish massage and body scrub from Megan. Only slight criticism would be that we walked into booming music and a pool exercise class claiming most of the pool. It wasn't very relaxing, although there were areas to go where you couldn't hear it, when you've paid for a relaxing spa you don't expect classes to be on. But we were very impressed overall with the facilities provided, food was good, good selection of drinks.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 19 July 2023
- Sharley21 contributionsEnjoyable affordable spa dayThe spa day was enjoyable and for the price I have no complaints. It doesn't have the luxury feel of a more exclusive spa, but the pool and jacuzzi are enjoyable and the sauna and steam room are really refreshing. Café could be better (serving usual café fare, sandwiches and toasties etc.) as it'd be nice to have something a bit more luxe and spa-worthy like a tasty rice and / or salad bowl, avocado and poached egg on toast etc. but that'd just personal preference. Relaxation room chairs could do with being a bit warmer, and could do with more jugs of fresh water around the place. Treatments are fine - staff are always very friendly and helpful. Very much a case of you get what you pay for, but I've been several times now and would go again.Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 13 September 2023
- GinVixon59 contributionsTad disappointingBooked spa day with former colleague and as Balantyne a big name, we were looking forward to a little luxury. Although we enjoyed our day and had a lovely catch up ,sadly the place didnt meet expectations, we would not return or recommend. First, the good- eucalyptus scented steam room, large sauna and whirlpool. Lunch tasty and you could choose from a wide selection. Treatment( glow facial with head massage) by Gemma lovely and professional. Spacious locker room / changing room. Car valet on site ( at extra charge) which I took advantage of and would recommend. And the not so great- Staff not at all friendly. We weren't shown round the spa so discovered areas that we would have used earlier! Water available on poolside but you need your own container. Charge for robe etc not fully refunded( £22 upfront only given £12 back). Bistro lacked any Christmassy ambience, and was very underwhelming, no sofas etc. It was very wet on poolside no staff mopping or cleaning anything. Maybe Mr Balantyne needs to visit? There are better spas out there guys. Don't be fooled by the name!Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 22 November 2023
- julesd7162 contributionsRip off dressing gown prices and thin towelsFantastic massage Amy was wonderful. However low rating was due to being charged £14 to hire a horrendous ripped dressing gown. Both pockets hanging off and almost dropped my phone straight through. Seriously needed to bin this one. How they can charge what they do is beyond me. Thin ripped dressing gowns? I took it back to be exchanged. They need to bin all the towels as well. Such a shame to cut corners unnecessarily.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 12 December 2023

Visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Had a lovely massage and then went for a swim afterwards. I’m really short sighted and can’t see without my glasses so we checked which way around the lanes swam. All lanes had direction signs in place. Second length and I was stoped by a member who informed me
‘We swim up and down here not around in circles’. I did a few more lengths in accordance with the head up breast stroke rules and then got out. It was clear that it was their pool and none else was welcome. On leaving I mentioned this to the receptionist who asked if it had tainted my experience ? Well I was leaving after about an hour and half on a day pass…I think it was quite clear.
The venue was lovely, but it’s clear that the club has one set of rules and members have others.

I haven’t visited, I’ve phoned for 3 days, different times as I wanted to book with the spa and top up on a number off Elemis products, but, so frustrating as no one answers the phone, I eventually get through to reception explained to Wima, she put me through and again no answer 😡😡😡😡 sooo frustrating and annoying. I won’t be trying again, I’ve booked a different spa and ordered my products elsewhere.

Does the spa have different types of steam and sauna rooms like at an aqua sauna which has about 15 different types (different scents and experiences etc) or is there just one normal steam room.and one sauna? Thank you

I used to always go on a Thursday. It was the quiet day in pool area, no aqua aerobics with instructor shouting. Only 1 hour in am for aqua aerobics on a thursday now. Don't pick a Monday. 2 hours of it! If you want some peace don't go then. 1 lane for swimming at that time too.
