    Fantastic experience of Shakespeare
A great little theatre tucked away by the river. An opportunity to see a Shakespeare play in Stratford at a fraction of the cost of the RSC. Very intimate and enjoyable experience. We will definitely return if we are in Stratford again.

    Romeo & Juliet
My favourite theatre in Stratford. We've just seen Romeo & Juliet and it was absolutely fantastic. It's a very intimate space & there's a powerful delivery from the cast. Would wholeheartedly recommend. Can't wait to see all of their productions this year.

    Go See This Company!
How wonderful to see Shakespeare's work come to life in his home town! The cast, direction, costumes and setting were wonderful, and we were made to feel welcome throughout. Will would definitely be proud! Go see this company!!

    So very very clever ...
Twelfth Night performed by Tapping the Boards was a delight and brilliantly directed and performed, abundant energy, creative interpretation, fabulous Irish theme, we laughed and were kept engaged from start to finish. Very clever ideas and a lovely magical feel to the whole production. Hats off to you and a delightful interesting space with a special atmosphere.

Another great production from The Attic Theatre
Stratford Upon Avon may be primarily known for its link to theatre and the RSC but The Attic must also be seen as one of its little gems. It is amazingly good value too as it's possible to take the whole family to the theatre for the price of a single ticket at the RSC. Despite being a small company, their productions are consistently excellent and last night's production of Twelfth Night was no exception. I must admit to being a little dubious when theatres decide to locate traditional plays in unconventional settings but The Attic's choice to set this one in an Irish pub actually worked really well. The comedic content shone through and I thought the physical humour was particularly effective. The only small criticism is that, in places, the female characters spoke so quickly that the combination of the Irish brogue and Shakespearian phrasing made it difficult to understand what they were saying. However, like most Shakespeare, it was possible to get the gist and, overall, it was an excellent night out. For anyone visiting Stratford who likes theatre, The Attic is definitely worth a look.

    Amazing immersive theatre for all
Amazing immersive theatre. Took my 11 year old son to see Twelfth Night and he loved it! Pity no leaflets or pamphlets to tell us about the actors as they were incredible! Loved the twists in the production - set in Ireland, mobiles(her text), golf clubs (withdraw your iron) and the modern music which makes it appealing and relatable to all ages. I loved Maria who I can imagine as an amazing Kate in Taming of the Shrew while my son loved Sir Toby! Only regret is I won't be here Saturday to see Romeo and Juliet!

    Two excellent productions of Shakespeare
We have now seen both of the Tread the Board current Shakespeare productions , Romeo and Juliet, and Twelfth Night. Both were superb. Imaginatively produced and set, and superbly performed. Romeo and Juliet was traditionally set and costumed and was imaginative and moving. All the cast deserve praise. Twelfth Night has been brought up to date in Dublin. It worked perfectly. Again all the cast put their hearts into it and the evening flew by. They could charge twice as much, and it would still be more than worth it. Still time to see both shows. I would urge any one to go

    Must experience
Husbands first Shakespeare. Twelfth Night. Up close and personal. We loved it. Atmosphere, closeness to the actors and how they interacted with us. The actors from Tread the Boards were exceptional, threw themselves into their parts with gusto. Highly recommended. Great pub right outside the door as well

    Brilliantly immersive experience....
Last minute booking for Twelth Night yesterday evening and it was so worth it! A fantastic evening of entertainment, brilliant acting and humorous twists, brought up to date with modern music and references which worked brilliantly! Make the effort to go, worth every penny.

Theatre that Shakespeare would been proud of!
What an unexpected joy! It’s intimating. The actors are in touching distance. It’s immersive. We saw Twelfth Night - set in a Dublin pub. It was engaging and funny and touching. My wife thought it the best Shakespeare she’d ever seen. And the bar next door is great.

If you go to Stratford upon Avon and something is on at the Attic Theatre. Please go. The company Tread the Boards has always delivered brilliant shows whether serious Dracula or hysterically funny The Three Musketeers. Even their Panto was stupidly funnily traditionally done!

Panto season at the attic is fantastic and not to be missed. Last year was my husband’s first ever panto! Yes I know a deprived childhood. Anyway he got picked by the dame as her boyfriend and was in his element. She jammed it up so much that as we left every child said goodbye to him!
This year after a number of false starts (a packed theatre, floods) we finally got to see Dick Whittington last night. It was well worth the wait. Dominic Selvey as idle Jack is an engaging character who has he audience eating out of the palm of his hand. Ed’s Conroy as King rat aka Borat was a fantastic villain. Joshua Chandos as always flits between his male and female persona effortlessly and with great comedic timing.

It was a masterpiece of panto. If you want a polished performance don’t go here. But if you want an intimate and engaging performance with the very essence of a real panto book quickly!

Tread the Boards put on a truly fabulous, funny, engaging show: Dick Whittington. I've not laughed so much in a long time. All the cast were amazing brilliant actors. Friends introduced me to this theatre company, I will definitely be back for more.

Despite the venue for the Dick Whittington pantomime having to be moved from the Attic theatre to the Bear Pit theatre, it was still an enjoyable night's entertainment. All the characters were excellent and really gave it their all to make the audience feel involved. I was supporting a young lady with Autism, and she really enjoyed herself. I can highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about going. I give it 5 stars.

I bought the family tickets for daughter and her children over from Madrid as a Christmas present. We were due to go on Boxing Day but the booking system has let them down so our visit had to be rearranged. So pleased we were able to be accommodated as I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Grandchildren loved it & Alba was dying to join the cast on stage. She got her chance when helping out “
Jack” with The Pirate Song. Lots of fun & laughter. Well done, everyone!

Actor talked down to me for cheap laughs. Pathetic. Obviously to hide the fact that there acting skills aren't up to scratch

Dear Peter, I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy a comment or two that an actor may have made towards you. Everything in the show is designed to be in the spirit of good fun and a gentle mickey take is part and parcel of pantomime. The majority of laughs in pantomime are indeed cheap laughs. If you would care to contact us directly about exactly what was said that made you unhappy I am sure we can explain further as to the nature of the scripted comments. As you will see from the wealth of responses to this show and the newspaper reviews the show has been widely praised for its traditional nature and also for the fun and jovial nature. All of the actors are trained and professional actors and all of them highly gifted and talented I can assure you. I am sorry this affected your overall enjoyment of the show and you couldn’t enjoy the fantastic production with its comedy, wit and singing. If you would care to contact us directly I would be grateful to hear further information as to your experience
