The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.

Once again our visit to the Attic Theatre was a great evening out. Most entertaining and at times hilarious, the setting in this most compact of venues was brilliant , can't wait for the next show. Whatever your taste from the serious drama to the comedy and farce, the "Tread the Boards Company" at the Attic Theatre will not dissapoint..

This is a very small place, maybe 30 to 50 people max and the play takes place right in front of you so very intimate and great for kids as the actors involve the audience when they can! We saw Wind in The Willows and really enjoyed it! Would visit again!

Our two boys loved this, was not sure being Beauty & Beast, but they really enjoyed this fun version. Very close to the action, and they were made to feel part of the show! Everyone involved was very friendly and the production was first rate. Great fun, a perfect post Christmas pick up. The pub in coxs yard, where you... More

What an amazing evening!! The whole cast seemed to enjoy performing just as much as we all enjoyed watching!! Id definitely recommend getting in to see Beauty and the beast for its last performance and definitely try and get in for the adult version!

We watched beauty and the beast panto and it was fantastic! We were laughing from start to finish and the audience interaction really makes the show. Big well done to all the cast. We had such a great time thank you :)

Intimate and spectacularly funny pantomime. Seriously, we laughed from beginning to end and it made my Christmas. My children loved it and the audience participation, singing and dancing with the cast and even photos with the cast too. A very special evening. See you next year!

We were staying in Stratford for Christmas and were looking for something fun to do on Boxing Day. We decided to see this pantomime and were not disappointed! I have not laughed so much in a long time - the very small cast coped admirably with the small children and a few hecklers. The one liners were hysterical and the... More

This was our third visit to the Attic Theatre - the second time that we had seen a panto. Our 'children' are 20 and 23 and they absolutely loved this version of Beauty and the Beast. As did we... It is a small intimate theatre with, I would guess, around 75 seats. The thing that really sets this apart is... More
