The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.

I can only mirror the previous review, we saw the production Saturday 12th November and found it engrossing and very entertaining, throughly enjoyed the whole evening. The acting and musical numbers were excellent. Extremely well done...! We will jump at the chance to see future productions.

Went to see Zachariah Sheldon at The Attic with 4 friends, All the actors were brilliant. Music and singing was wonderful, totally engrossed with this production, think its based on a true tragedy. Which was played out just a few feet away from us. On till 12th Nov, if your in the area I highly recommend a visit. Thank You... More

if I could give more points I would, it was the absolute best theatre experience I ever had, especially siting in the front row. We saw Dracula and I am quite jumpy when it comes to scary stuff, so at this point may I say sorry to my fellow entertainees since I must have screamed from the top of my... More

After last years "Frankenstein" success, we dared to go and see the latest play by the excellent "Tread the boards" company. This time it was "DRACULA"...Wow, What a treat it turned out to be.. over two hours of frights & scares, with the story of the vampire count coming to life on stage. The actors were brilliant and gave the... More

This little theatre is amazing! So, so small which made it even better! We had an amazing experience when we visited, incredible acting and a very clever staged performance. We were totally captivated and ... involved! I would definitely visit here again as it was an intimate performance due to the close proximity. Fabulous!

As locals we went to see this at the Attic Theatre on Thursday night. Very intimate theatre which can accommodate about 150 people and the audience is right "upon" the stage which is good for interaction from the cast. Brilliant scary play which had a few jumping out of their seats and well done to all the cast especially Dracula's... More

My friend and I went to see Dracula as a last minute addition to our trip and we are glad we did. The play was great but we went on a night with few people there and the ones that were turned our night of scare into one of humour. Yes we jumped a bit but we also laughed at... More

Dracula follows the book very closely with extracts from the original Bela Lugosi film. A must for all horror fans but not for the faint hearted. Excellent performances from all players. Very good value for money
