The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.

Me and my husband visit the Attic Theatre regularly and they never let us down. We most recently saw a brilliant production of Pride and Prejudice, the actors were totally believable in their parts and this has to be said about their other productions as...More

Great location, but also quite noisy as a result. Disabled access isn’t great either. We’ve been a few times (twice) and thought the performances were disappointing. Will keep an eye on it though.More

Andrew Lloyd Webber you’d be proud of this. We were told this was the first time The Attu Theatre had put on any musicals, it was the actors turning their hands to singing. What a great job they all did, 4 regulars with 2 guests...More

We saw this as a family yesterday - enjoyed by all including my 13 year old son. Artful acting especially Lydia and Mr Collins and enormous fun.

Thank you for your lovely response for our production of Pride and Prejudice. We understand and agree with you regarding the air conditioning. The management who run the Attic have been unable to add air conditioning to the building as the landlords have not allowed...More

I have seen performances at the Attic theatre on several occasions and all have been very good but I must say Pride and Prejudice beats the lot. The quality of the acting was outstanding especially that of Mrs Bennet and vicar Collins. I visited with...More

Our second visit to the Attic, this time for Pride and Prejudice, and it was another belter. Without exception a brilliant cast, versatile and engaging. Mr Darcy and Eliza with Bennett were well cast and utterly compelling, and the supporting characters proved to be more...More

The Attic is a real gem. I’ve seen several shows there, the latest being Pride and Prejudice, and all have blown me away with their sky high standard of theatre. Never disappoints.

Hi Shaun, we are running two plays side by side at the moment so on Saturday 16th at 2:30 pm we have Bronte and at 7:30 pm we have Wuthering Heights. Hope one, or both of these appeals to you/your group.
