Discover where William Shakespeare was educated and inspired to become the world's greatest playwright. Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall gives visitors the chance to discover how and where the world's greatest playwright, William Shakespeare, spent his school years and first experienced theatre. This period in Shakespeare's life, about which there has been little previous insight, undoubtedly awakened in him a passion for the craft of which he was to become a master. Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall provides a truly immersive experience for all - whether a lifelong Shakespeare enthusiast or new to his enduring legacy. Fun for all the family.

Undoubtedly the best Shakespeare experience in Stratford upon Avon. We learned so much about Shakespeare, his family, schooling and influences. The building, its history, the rooms, the restored original art work are so impressive and atmospheric but most illuminating was the very knowledgeable and personable...More

A relatively recently developed addition to the repertoire of locations associated with Shakespeare. The guides are enthusiastic and well-informed. The schoolroom, with the master in attendance, is evocative and enlightening - and great fun. Touching to see the name of the great actor Tim Piggott-Smith...More

What a fabulous tour! Great tour guide to accompany you, topped off by an actor who "takes you back to school" in an utterly engaging way. An absolute must - great for kids and great for adults! Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
