Jump aboard the Jennifer May for a 40 minute boat trip. Relax on the river whilst enjoying a light hearted commentary. This informative and entertaining audio presentation focuses on Stratford's significant role in the Industrial revolution, along with a fresh insight into Shakespeare's Avon. An English and multilingual text version is also available as a free download. Jennifer May is the only sightseeing boat which is licensed to take passengers through the historic canal lock and onto the River Avon. She is a modern, fully accessible, passenger vessel with WC, wheelchair lift and baby changing facilities. Centrally heated during colder spells, Jennifer May has large glass panels in her roof and a fully removable window system to maximise your viewing experience in a comfortable all-weather environment. We travel hourly from the Stratford upon Avon Canal Basin and Jennifer May can also be chartered for business meetings and functions. Risk assessments and access statements are available on our website for schools and group bookings.

There are plenty of operators doing this trip from the basin in Stratford. This one is competitively priced at £6 and offered a boat which is larger than some. They operate a large covered narrowboat, which is handy due to our unpredictable weather. It is...More

Four of us decided it would be a nice way to end the afternoon in Stratford with a little trip on the river. £22 for four as two elderly parents get £1 discount each. Nice! The two chaps on the boat are quite friendly and...More

Hi and thank you for the detailed and positive review. We also operate in the winter and on rainy days as the boat is weather proof and heated. Hope to see you back again next year.

The Canal & River Tours were very good. We got good commentary over the speakers, plus we got to go into the lock which was very fun indeed. After the lock, the Jennifer May made its way down towards the weir and made a u-turn...More
