We made the journey from Oxford. Our ticket seemed to suggest that we could enter between 11am and 12 noon but when we arrived a member of staff was looking out for us - so that we could join the others. We were herded into a room and told that we had 15 minutes before we would change with others. This seemed to be the pattern - taken to a room and given a specific time. The whole experience seemed so regimented that it spoilt the enjoyment. The Cranach paintings were interesting, well-documented and well-lit but some of the works that were inspired by him were truly dreadful. Later we had to queue to enter the shop where everything seems over-priced. I wanted to buy a very small guide to their British works but was told it included another book about their Chinese collection at £4.50. Why not make each book £2.25 and let the customer choose? When I asked for permission to use the ladies lavatories, I felt as though I was on a school trip. Even allowing for the restrictions imposed by the virus I thought the staff had done their best to take the pleasure out of this experience.

We stayed in Stratford for a few days just so we could visit. We had a great day out. Booking was easy from home as releasing the tickets some weeks in advance was a great help. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and then went in for our pre booked tour of 2 galleries. Helpful and friendly guide. Two helpful volunteers told us on the way out that there was another tour soon of two other galleries, textiles and chinese art. We were able to book in the shop so had a double helping. Thanks to them for their help. Also enjoyed a good coffee from the van by the entrance. We did enjoy our day.

The Covid influenced timed and pre booked tour of the Cranach exhibition worked extremely well. The limited group size enable more time and space with individual exhibits. The guide was friendly and informative. A lovely morning.

Had tickets for the Cranach exhibition.Only five people allowed in at a time together with one official from Compton Verney. Very enjoyable and thought provoking display spread over two rooms. One hour allocated time to see the exhibition.

Just went to the park today, with a nearly 2 year old. It was great, the park is very well maintained and has little areas to keep the young ones entertained. Lovely Sunday afternoon walk. Would recommend. And staff are very warm and welcoming.
