Penny of parking space, impressive grounds, excellent staff. The restaurant area is small but there was plenty of room for us on the day. Biggest issue was that the main building was 'out of bounds' in the build up to Christmas which was disappointing.
Had a great visit to Charlecote Park. Grounds are magnificent and the Deer are a delight! Didn’t go inside the house as we only had a couple of hours but have been inside before. Fascinating history of the Lacey family, great Warwickshire family and story
Me and my partner live local to charlecote, we drive past most days and finally had free time to visit. We took our little dog and thought we would make a day of it. We parked in the car park, went to reception to be...More
We stopped here on a beautiful sunny afternoon. It was a bit crowded but there is a very large car park across the road. It is a bit of a walk to the entrance, but easy to manage. The immensely sprawling grounds are open to...More
Had a pleasant walk around the National Trust grounds on a lovely Autumnal day. Lots of deer to observe. The cafe was good. It had some WW1 tributes around the house. However I felt it was a little overpriced just to walk around the countryside.
Went for an afternoon to look around grounds and have tea in the cafe.
Although cafe is not particularly cosy (or clean) the food was lovely and warming.
Grounds are great for walking even if it’s cold with amazing views including deers and stags.
The house with impressive collections is very well preserved and maintained. It is surrounded by a large deer park offering walking for hours. The cafe (not very clean during our visit) is useful for drinks. The lunch menu is limited and so is the space...More
We really enjoyed visiting this National trust wonder. It’s a beautiful property and gorgeous grounds (even better when the sun is out!). Recommend for an afternoon out (coupled with visiting other national trust places in the area). Beautifully maintain house and great history!
Visited Charlecote Park on a beautiful sunny day. The house was very interesting, with some beautiful features There are some lovely walks where you can see the deer herds. Lovely place for a picnic, especially being able to sit by the river.
Took my sister to Charlecote Park which was set in beautiful countryside not far from Stratford. Charlecote House was amazing and very interesting. The deer looked majestic as they pranced about the fields.
