Charlecote Park has been home to the Lucy family since the 12th century....

Charlecote Park has been home to the Lucy family since the 12th century. Their stories are told throughout the house by their portraits, the objects they collected from around the world and the design influence they had on the house and parkland. See how Mary Elizabeth Lucy remodeled the house in Victorian times. The gardens include a formal parterre, woodland walk and the wider parkland (inspired by 'Capability' Brown), which offer walks with picturesque views across the River Avon. A herd of fallow deer has been in the park since Tudor times.

Fantastic National Trust location with the usual well kept facilities, historic education and involved displays with great interactive opportunities for the whole family. Great for children to explore, lacking in formal play area though. Recommended.

This was our first visit to Charlecote Park. we all had a brilliant day walking round the grounds and watched a herd of Deer running across the paths, saw the flock of Jacob sheep with their lambs. There are well laid out pathways to follow round the grounds and you can take a dog with you for the grounds. Food... More

A lovely day out, lots of beautiful ground, animals a plenty, including free roaming deer. Couple of tea rooms with a great selection of foods or bring a picnic and enjoy the view from a blanket.

Had a lovely day wandering around this lovely property, short walk from the car park down the tree lined avenue with deer either side. The house is beautifully kept with interesting things and helpful guides. There is also a secondhand bookshop, plant shop, gift shop and tearoom-the latter is a bit on the small side and does get very busy... More

A house with lots of antiques but if particular interest to woodwork enthusiasts and marble lovers. I enjoyed the ramble through the park and the jacobs' sheep and fallow deer. There is a cafe in the orangery and as usual the prices are steep but the food is good. The secondhand bookshop and old kitchens are worth a visit.

We went to visit the grounds and house today. It is a very pleasant site with grazing deer and lambs in the huge grounds. The house itself has a number of rooms you can visit but, to be honest, you're going to struggle to be in there for longer than 30-45 minutes. I think that the real draw here are... More

A really lovely National Trust property that is well worth a visit. The house is fascinating and really well presented. The park is lovely with some nice walks next to the River Avon.
