Spread across two floors, the venue features a cosy downstairs bar with the perfect setting for relaxed daytime socialising. Returning to what I remember as the gay village it’s in a sad state. NOTHING. Like it was from the 90s to the early 2000s
It’s become cold and heartless. Expensive and empty
I’m sitting here writing this outside missing bar thinking how I loved and was proud of this scene has choked to see how bad it’s become.
Route 66. Angels. Partners. Jester. Subway. DV8. Fox. Eden.

We visited this bar with my daughter & her friends for her 21 st Birthday celebrations.
Atmosphere was amazing with the DJ doing regular shout outs wishing my daughter a happy birthday - however one member of the bar team was extremely rude & quite offensive to practically all of our party. I asked what the problem was & she explained the kids were ordering one drink at a time & she had to keep going round the other side of the bar to get a certain spirit? Am I mistaken but isn't that the job of the bar staff? ??
I told her she was just plain rude & we were taking our business elsewhere.
She then told me she was pregnant & shouldn't be on her feet for this long?
I rang the following morning & complained to the manager who advised me he would speak to her & come back to me.
Well no surprises he didn't.
I won't be visiting this place again there are plenty of nicer bars in The Village with much nicer staff who appreciate that without the customers they wouldn't have a bar to operate.
No call back which just about sums it up.
My advice there are

I dont know whats happened to Missing We have been there many a time as a heterosexual couple and have always been welcome and had great times there. We have just called in on the way back from town and had a really embarrassing experience. We stood at the bar and all 3 bar staff completely ignored us. There were not many in there and we stood patiently at the bar but were clearly invisible. I became increasingly uncomfortable but we still said nothing When a man walked up to the bar and ordered straight away My partner said I think we are next weve been waiting a while, the bar man said You are being extremely rude Im refusing to serve you. We were shocked and upset to be honest. Dont know what assumptions they made about us but whatever it was they were wrong. Sadly we can no longer extol the virtues of this bar as friendly welcoming and fun. It was cold excluding and embarrassing which is a shame. It has totally changed and should be avoided. Such a pity

“Visited here last night with friends, witnessed the drag queen physically attack a woman then a man moments later. Woman had her hair pulled hard, the man was punched in the face. No build up, however the drag was continually insulting the couple over the microphone all night. I know drags are meant to banter, but this was just vile abuse she was spewing. Wont bother returning, not a nice evening“

A racist bar - went on a quiet Monday night, we weren't allowed to get in as the staff said it was "busy" when there were only a few people inside. After we left, two white guys went straight in. Can't believe this happen in 2021. Shame on this bar!

Visited for the first time on a Wednesday afternoon while in Birmingham for a Holly Johnson concert (we travelled from Derby). We were only present for an hour or so, but had a great time due to the lovely clientelle and excellent staff. And the froth printing machine was brilliant! Hope to see you all soon. Thank you! 😍👍❤️

I came in here with my friend Kat to celebrate her birthday she is my favourite of faves. We had a couple of drinks and danced the night away without the other girl who we don't like much. It was an amazing the night I had celebrating Kat's birthday without the other one.

Went on a Monday evening and it was packed! More like a nightclub atmosphere than a bar, really. Friendly clientele, not too many straight people. My only major grievance is over the design of the ladies loo, which is appalling (not sure if it was deliberately designed so badly to discourage people congregating there??), but I don't suppose many people who are on a night out expect good toilets.

Visited in the day time. Good one way system in place around the bar to help with social distancing. Staff friendly and helpful. Table service to avoid the need to go to the bar. Reasonably priced.
