This market sells fresh foods such as meat, fish and veg. We loved the multicultural feel to the place. The stals offered a huge array of goods. Many of which we don't see at home. Prices were rediculously low compared to the soft underbelly of the south!

We popped into the markets as you can pick up fresh produce at very good prices. You can get anything from local produce to products from around the world, the smells & tastes are amazing. We shop here a lot as it beats the supermarkets and you know that everything is fresh and can be cheaper than the shops. Give... More

There is a lot of people visiting the market and there is loads of stalls in there, so you will have to put quite some effort into working your way through. I would suggest not to go in there on a hot sunny day, just because of the smell.

Briefly walked around the Market Area on 13/08/16 while staying Birmingham for 5 nights. Like many other Markets within the UK nothing really different with Market Merchandise, the South American free entertainment make the visits a little more interesting. Cheap cafe's around with mugs of tea for GBP 1.00 & cheap snack food. Spent around 45 mins taking a look... More

Birmingham indoor market - a brill place to go for decent meat /fish. Halal butchers along with non halal places. Friendly place with lots of the market folk willing to do a deal and have some banter. Other parts of the market have some clothing places / fancy goods etc etc.

Please note thar I enjoy all markets a lot, so if you are not a fan of loud places and crowds of people fighting over cucumbers, just go to Bullring and do your shopping there. As for the market, it offers a huge range of fresh food, diary, meat, fish, chase, homeware and everything else you can usually find in... More
