A beautiful little nature reserve. It doesn’t cover a large area, but within a fairly small space there are a wide variety of habitats, from marshy bog to woodland. There is easy access for most - and some more interesting paths for a slightly more...More

This is a lovely park for a walk... Especially if you are a Tolkien fan! You can easily imagine how magical it must have seemed to a small boy

The perfect place to go and hide from the world, touching trunks and spiralling off in imagination. Entirely possible to feel you are a million miles from a city. Some simply stunning trunks.

We spent about 4 hours in the Bog exploring the various trails. There are a surprising amount of interesting woodworks and plenty of useful wooden pathways. It's quite enchanting, even ignoring the Tolkien connection.

Lovely forest walk and fascinating to think that Tolkien walked here. The boardwalks really do make walking easy and there are some tremendous trees to see. Visiting in October, we enjoyed looking out for fungi. Car parking is easy and close. Maps and directions are...More

Walked from Swanshurst park to Mosley bog found the site very interesting and using your imagination you can see where Tolkien got his ideas from.

Great little place to walk round with board walks and some open fields adjacent in the form of Joys Wood. Fun place to walk around with for the kids tho not easy with a pushchair.
