About

Lock horns with the Birmingham Minotaur @ Escape Brum! Based in Brum's Jewellery Quarter, enter one of our beautifully designed game rooms and test your mettle against our puzzles - you have one hour to solve the game and make your escape! Opened in April 2019, we are an independent escape game venue and currently operate three rooms, called Blackmail, which is a traditional office escape style game, The Mystic's Cabin, which is a little more mysterious, and Labyrinth: Lord Barrington's Folly, which is more than just an escape. Our aim is to provide a great experience for visiting players, a welcoming atmosphere, a local feel and rooms full of puzzles that will get your brain working! We are easily accessible by foot either from central Birmingham or from within the Jewellery Quarter, by public transport or by car (free parking available).

Amazing experience, incredible theming

Visited Escape Brum with some people from work tonight. The host Lee was amazing and explained everything before we got started. I've played a few rooms but this was my first visit to Escape Brum. We played Labyrinth and the theming and decoration of the room were second to none. The puzzles incredibly thought out and interesting and most I'd never seen before in an escape room. I'd definitely recommend for those looking for something fun and exciting to do

Fantastic, we’ll be back again

Visited today with my husband, our 13 year old son and his friend to do Blackmail. We had a fantastic time solving the clues and managed to escape before the hour was up. The game was really well thought out and we all enjoyed solving the puzzles. I would recommend this to everybody. The staff who greeted us and explained everything were friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back to do another room soon.

Probably the best Escape Room we have done!

We completed the 'Lord Barrington's Folly' Labyrinth game as a team of three (2 adults and one teenager) and thoroughly enjoyed it! This is the first escape room we have done that contained an additional component in that you also have to search for tokens as you try to escape. We loved the multiple-room aspect, as lots of Escape Rooms now are just one singular room. We ran back and forth between the areas and were kept very entertained with some quirky and difficult puzzles and riddles. We found the key to escape with about 20 minutes to spare, but chose to stay until the hour was up because we hadn't found all the extra tokens (and still hadn't by the end!). Thank you to Lee for being a fantastic games master and for taking us back through the Rooms afterwards to show us where all the sneaky tokens we missed were hiding! This was a lovely touch. Highly recommend the Labyrinth room!

Fantastic escape rooms

Went to Escape Brum with my children to attempt Blackmail, an excellent and challenging escape room with a great and passionate host. We enjoyed it enough to return to do Mystic Cabin, which was beyond expectations, a well designed room with plenty of different elements to allow everyone to shine. Having enjoyed the first 2 rooms so much we went back for a third time to try Labyrinth, which brought something new to my escape room experience, as well as the usual puzzle elements there was an interesting and frustrating search element. Thoroughly enjoyed all the games and really appreciated the hosts run through of the things we had missed. Only negative is there are not more rooms. We eagerly await your next challenge.

Well what can I say it was amazing it was a surprise present for my daughter it was her 17th birthday and out of everything we did that day for her birthday. That was the best we laughed so much. I recommend this to everybody.The gentleman at the door was amazing. He was so friendly the room were so well fought out. We will definitely be going back to do another room. We had ages from 7 to 46 and we all enjoyed it.

Great escape

We came as a group of two moms and three children- aged 11, 10 and 8
The Blackmail escape room has enough for us all to be working on and was difficult enough to make us all feel very clever when we solved each clue.
I've done a few escape rooms and I really recommend this one as I thought it very clever, with lots of different puzzles and things to work out.

Amazing fun

We have completed the blackmail room and mystics cabin room and both are the perfect balance of trickiness, not too difficult that you want to give up but complex enough to utilise your brain cells to their maximum. Amazing fun. We loved them both and will be going back soon to complete their final room

Mystic Cabin - Amazing

Absolutely brilliant. We have done a lot of different rooms in the past, but this has to be one of the very best. There were lots of different puzzles, many of which we had not seen before, with a few red herrings - that were totally within the theme of the room and believable. Some parts were challenging but nothing far fetched or impossible, working as a team definitely helps.
We were pleased that we escaped in plenty of time, without any clues.
Host was really good, friendly informative and the place was spotless.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, we will be back to do their third room.

LABYRINTH ES AMAZING!!!

Wow!!! We loved the LABYRINTH ER! We went with our two daughters, aged 9 and 10, they loved it! Great puzzles, the hour went so fast. Won't give anything except we did escape with 28 seconds left! Would highly recommend this escape room.
