Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s an impressive modern build in the centre of the great city. It was opened in 1991.

Walking through it leads from Centenary Square to the delightful canal area. All the architectural features are plainly to see, including the walkways on high and of course copious metal and glass.

The building is a large convention centre with many halls and meeting rooms. It is clean and modern, with good facilities.

Unfortunately the layout of the building is very confusing and badly designed. There are eight or nine levels but almost no lifts and you reach every hall by a different staircase. There are almost no loos.

You cannot find your way around. The signs are small and many halls are not signed. The staff are happy to tell you that you are in the wrong place, but too busy to tell you how to get to the right place. Many of the staff do not really speak adequate English.

Very frustrating. Avoid if possible.

Being in the exhibition industry, I used to do a great deal of work at the ICC. Thought I would visit after having not been there in 20 years. It is a nice, functional building and there is now the addition of places to eat and drink as well as an interesting little art gallery. From the rear entrance one can gain access to the canal area.

Stayed in a travelodge nearby to see a show. What a great place, just by the library and canal. Beautiful modern building. Lots of theatre rooms. Comfortable and could see all the stage. Go out the back exit to see the canal. Pretty area.

Corporate view of the ICC. I was very impressed with the facilities and the transport connections. Being in the heart of a city added to the venue by being surrounded by good pubs and restaurants. The dinning was some of the best corporate dining in a conference centre I have ever had.

Attended a two day conference last week at the ICC. Wanted to publicly thank the staff who were (without exception) helpful, friendly and accommodating. A real pleasure to have the conference in such a well-run facility with excellent amenities. Thank you to everyone involved.

The ICC is modern, well kept & very conveniently situated in the heart of the city, close to BNS station. The hall in which Shen Yun was staged was quite intimate, so most seats had a good view. Bar staff were friendly, but please, chill your white wine, who wants it warm at nearly £10 a pop? This show was enjoyable but not as spectacular as anticipated, & overpriced at £100 a ticket in my view (Row V Lower Tier). Extremely talented cast of dancers & actors, around 40 strong, plus a sizeable orchestra, …. but still, not worth the money. The performance is made up of a series of short routines, each interspersed with the stilted patter of an American host & Chinese hostess, explaining in their own language the meaning of the next routine. A ‘patented’ digital backdrop of animated images integrates with the performers, giving the impression they’ve leapt out of the scenery. It’s colourful, vibrant, skilful, graceful & beautiful in parts, but also rather kitsch, tacky & monotonous.
Two hours long plus interval.

Shen Yun show. It is absolutely exquisite. The dancers are beautiful and sublime. The costumes are gorgeous. The orchestra is amazing. The ICC is a very good venue. Spotlessly clean and easy to get to. The most annoying aspect of the evening were the ignorant Brits sitting by us filling their faces with crisps and talking all the way through. So rude. They clearly couldn’t appreciate it and lacked the intelligence to understand it so they just fidgeted, ate, and talked instead. Why pay £85 then spoil it? 🙄
The performance was stunning. The effort that goes into it is staggering. The backdrop effects are fantastic. It was elegant and truly lovely.
