The kids love it! It's not often you have a shark and a sting ray swimming above your head though. Fun, fun, fun.

Had a great time exploring the national sea life centre. A lot to see and very informative in places, would go again, worth the visit.

Good way to spend a wet/cold day in Birmingham! Expensive entry fee (though family rates available and cheaper if you book online, provided you know your arrival time). Lots to see spread over several floors, from penguins to various marine environments (coral/seashore/mangrove). I spent about 3 hours there and found it fascinating. No cafe (snack machines only) but you can... More

Really nice family day out, brought a baby along to see the colours who enjoyed it! Was so crowded in there that everytime u go to look At a fish u get in someone's way or they get in ur way. Kids everywhere buggys prams and people getting on each other's nerves, brought a photo souvenir that cost 30 pound... More

Lovely place and the kids really enjoyed it. Friendly staff. We spent around four hours and we followed the map through the fantastic aquarium glasses with different tropical fishes... Also the cinema was great.

Really big queues and rather expensive. Very enjoyable my son particularly liked the 4d cinema. The quiz is really good as it keeps children interested in finding out information. Really impressive!

The national Sea life centre used to be fantastic! In recent years they've 'done it up' but to be honest it just seems a lot more cramped and smaller to me. Ok they have penguins, but apart from that what else have you to offer for the prices you charge? I'm not saying don't go there because it's beautiful, just... More

Our group was 2 adults and a six year old - great fun had by all, but... Oh my gosh! Make sure you ONLY go if you've sourced some money off vouchers or what not. This is HORRENDOUSLY expensive if you have to pay full price. And that's your normal take yourself around rate, forget the VIP behind the scenes... More

One of my favourite places in Birmingham. Came here for the first time yesterday and loved it from start to finish. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The centre was full of beautiful sea life. A lot better than I expected! Really lovely day out! The penguins where my favourite part along with the 4D cinema. Definitely worth the... More
